I am using windows 7, ActiveMQ messaging, and C#. I have a need to communicate with a MEF button running in another application. My service will receive messages from the button, but the button will not receive messages from the service. I believe it is a threading issue, and I am not sure about how I should tackle this issue. Any ideas?

One way would be to stop attempting to figure it out in two different applications and instead create two test applications and make them do nothing but two way communication first. And no UI components.
After that works then add a UI component and get that to work.

At work we image a lot of machines and prepare them for the users, There is a pre deployment Check-Off guide of things we have to configure before we send the machine off. I am trying my best to automate this, and am stuck at one part i cant seem to get using vbs, .bat, or c#. I am not a veteran coder what so ever, i usually just google what i need and start piecing together to fit what im looking for.
What i need help with is Editing/Enabling 2 local machine Policies i will paste what im trying to automate below:
1) Run gpedit.msc > Navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Logon Options > Open "Disable or enable software Secure Attention Sequence" > Enable & Select "Services and Ease of Access Applications" in the drop down menu > Apply > Ok
2)Run gpedit.msc > Navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Printers > Point and Print Restrictions > Enable & In drop down menu for "When installing Drivers for a new connection" select "Do not show warning or elevation prompt" > In drop down menu for "When updating drivers for an existing connection" select "Do not show warning or elevation prompt" > Apply > Ok
These machines are all Windows 7 with latest .net framework installed. I will be doing a C# windows form application using Visual Studio 2010. I have tried making such changes in the registry but have had no luck. For testing purposes i have a simple form with a button. Trying to complete the changes above with the press of a button.
If anyone has any help or information they could point me to that would be awesome, If you could provide me snippets of code and any resources i may need to import to complete this task, that would be even more amazing.

What do you mean by "silent"? You can create an installer that does not show or report anything (even when it fails), but that does not affect UAC. For that, your app must be "trusted" or from a trusted source.
Allowing untrusted things to install without any warning or notification is a security-issue. It's how virusses work

I need this to install with a basic user interface using c#. I can be done easily for default drive (usually C:\- Windows drive) but I want to install it in a different drive other than windows. If anybody has the answer for it then please reply.

The way it's done really depends on the Installer package you use.

This really isn't something you should be doing within the package (as the "using c# code seems to imply"). If you create an MSI, quiet installs are possible

yes I want to install msi package using another installer application. I am able to install it with quiet mode but not finding any solution for installing it in different drive other than window drive (default drive). so need solution for this requirement. Please help...

Oh boy, haven't you ever done an installation via commandline?
Try this in a Console ("DOS") Window (running elevated!):
msiexec /i "%SOURCE%" /quiet /passive ALLUSERS=1 TARGETDIR="%TARGET%" /l*v "%LOGFILE%"
Replace %SOURCE% with your source package (C:\....\yourpackage.msi),
%TARGET% with the installation target (E:\SomeFolder), and
%LOGFILE% with the place where you want to see the installation logs (C:\Temp\install.log).
When you got it working, call that command from your C# application.

Okay, first off i would like to say i have already looked this question over myself before asking, with that being said i get errors as an outcome.
I'm trying to convert a (open source) library to a portable class library so i can use the library in my Windows 8 App Development since Windows 8 App Development doesn't support Class Library's. The problem is for some reason i get errors like this:
