I doubt there is enough specific interest in graphic design per se on CP to justify such a forum, and I think web-design is already covered by the Web Development forum, as Nagy pointed out.
But, you can create your own group: have you considered that ?
And, if you wish to promote the idea of having such a group, why not write a few articles for CP you think are relevant to both programmers and designers, and see what the response is like ?

I complained in April about this, but since then I posted 2 other technical blogs (one was upgraded to an article by an admin, I guess), and one article, and none of them have shown up in the Newsletter's "New Articles added" or "New Technical Blogs added" sections. That said, I did update two articles (List Trifecta Parts 1 & 2) and they showed up in the "Articles updated" section. One of those updates (Part 2) occurred in the same week that I published the article in the first place.
I just posted a new article this morning, just after today's newsletter came out. Aside: actually CP completely lost my entire article last night, possibly because I forgot to set the "category" of the article. I had to quickly rewrite the ending from an incomplete draft that I saved independently, otherwise I might have published the article in time. I know I should have saved the content manually, but it was late, I just wanted to sleep. Also, I'm pretty sure I uploaded a new screenshot, but CP still published an older version of the screenshot that had a mistake on it. I didn't notice this before publishing, so I had to update the article right away. Oh, and if an editor was wondering why I didn't use a normal download link, it's because the "insert in article" button was not working in FireFox.
Look... I think the newsletter is a really important source of readers (for me, it's the ONLY place I learn about new articles). So if this new article doesn't show up in the newsletter, I'll start looking for another place to publish future articles.

The simplest explanation is that you're cursed. There's no other rational explanation.

I can see that you posted your article "A New Parser Generator for C#[^]" on the 7th (a Monday). The weekly newsletter goes out each Monday and contains articles posted up until Sunday of the previous week, so it won't have appeared in that. However, the Daily Build[^] goes out daily and the archives[^] show your article was included in that newsletter.]

With regard to this article: Writing a boot loader in Assembly and C - Part1[^]
The article was pending review and I wasn't happy with how the author was presenting the section/subsection headers and after trying to explain this to the user, said I would go and have a poke around in it and try and change things.
This I did (the bulk of it at least before running out of time) and then the told the author and he finished off the rest.
I expected to see an editor event in event history for yesterday evening, but there is nothing.
You will see the changes if you compare the version before my edit with my edits.

I don't know about the articles, but with the QA and other normal posts the event gets fired from v2 and later.
The first edit is not couting for the last ?months?. It has been already spoken so I guess that it is in the ToDo-List.

I wouldn't go naming suspects if I were you. The admins are more than capable of seeing who downvoted you, and all you have done is potentially maligned at least one user. That isn't very nice of you.

it seems like the "our Community" section on the start page is not updating anymore - Just look at the Lounge and then back to said section (I know that the sync takes abit of time, but one of the threads is already over an hour old at the time I type this message).
Maybe you should take a look wether a server needs a kick to get a good start into the upcoming new week.
- Note: I recognized this Issue last weekend, too but I can't find the thread right now.
Edit: Found the Thread[^] - Seems to be the same Issue, but I can't tell wether it applies for the other sections mentioned in the thread again.
Edit 2 Seems like everything is back in order now - I'd check the Logs anyways.

Hi admins,
I was thinking: why not adding a captcha image when a new user wants to sign up? Some spam (not all, however) is probably posted by a spam bot: adding a captcha prevents a bot to sign up. Of course, a human could create the account for the spam bot, but still, adding a captcha would at least reduce the number of spam posts/spam accounts.

This would add an annoyance to 99.99% (or whatever) of legit users for the sake of spammers, with the biggest issue being that we already have anti-bot technology in place and spammers are not always bots.

What about adding phone no. verification? The reason is, some one can have many email accounts just in a minute but can't have phone nos like this.If some account gets blocked,that no. should also be blocked.This can be helpful to prevent Abuse/Spam more effectively.
Mechanism can be implemented if some one again tries to use that no. e.g. Admin can grant access (on request) to use that number with another sign up.

Would not work. Making up a phone number is trivial and the admins can't ring them all to verify whether or not a number is genuine.

No need to ring them all. e.g. someone try to sign up for new account than he/she will be asked to enter phone no. After that,verification code will be sent and only after successful verification of the sent code,the account will get activated.

And for those who don't have messaging capabilities on their phone? How do you differentiate? What about people like me who distrust handing out numbers? You have just alienated me by requiring my phone number.

I would not sign up to this site if it required a phone number.
I don't fill out any sort of form online that requires a mobile number.
Plus, how much would it cost CP to text 10 million phones all over the world?

But then surely you would have to validate if the construct to a number is correct with the corresponding country? As I know with the UK the number can vary in length depending on the area code.

I suggest you make it clearer on the settings page that for the Google and Linkedin, only the ID number is required.
I have noticed a few users that have copied and pasted the the full url, which then gets stripped of symbols (:/.) by your backend to just a long string, which means the urls don't work.
(either that or you smarten up the logic to parse out just the ID).
e.g. look at this users Google+ and LinkedIn links: http://www.codeproject.com/script/Membership/View.aspx?mid=9506038[^] Clicking the G+ link will give a 404.
