Make sure your application pool is set to the correct framework in your IIS Manager e.g.
if your website is build with framework 4, make sure you application pool is set to .Net Framework Version v4.0.
And if your website is build with framework 3.5, make sure you application pool is set to .Net Framework Version v2.0.

If you use deploy, then you have to be aware that it does not always deploy everything.
You may need to look into a library that exist on your local dev but not on your deployed iis,
Check the dlls, and controls etc..
Make sure that they are all either in your app bin dir or registered on your deployment box.

i have result in datatable and i converted to excel using streamwriter. Now i dont want save to computer and then send mail by using that path.
Is there any other method that i can send that excel without saving to system in c#.

Try using a MemoryStream[^] to store the Excel file, and pass that stream to the Attachment constructor[^].

Hey all,
I want to add a Return-Path to my message so that Bounces can be send to a specific email address.
I tried adding
mm.Header.Add("Return-Path",email) to my MailMessage, but no luck. I've done some research but found nothing useful. Some guys said that it is impossible with system.net.mail.
Any work around or ideas will be appreciated.

SQL Server 2005 Express Edition
The application has a setup project, on clicking the setup.exe the setup runs and the application gets installed on the user’s machine
The setup checks for the existence on SQL Server 2005 Express Edition in user’s machine, if it is not present then it installs the SQL Server 2005 Express edition.
The application works fine on Windows XP and Vista, but it is not working fine on Windows 7, after the set is run on windows 7 the “Unhandled exception” occurs.

Just lok at the text of the error message: "Cannot create a file when that file already exists".
And where does that happen?
Somewhere called from the Load event handler of frmLogin: DataEntryApplication.frmLogin.frmLogin_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e)
There you write some log files, and try to move a file: System.IO.FileInfo.MoveTo(String destFileName)
And when you try to do so, that file (whose name is stored in destFileName) does already exist.
Two options:
check for the file before you move it, and
- use a different name.
- delete the existing file

I have the need to use column span. So to best explain this create a gridview with 4 rows and 10 columns/cells at 1PX for the width. The reason for the width to be small is I want to represent a 10 minute time. So eventually I will have 144 of these little cells. But for the test just create 10.
So now try and do a columnspan at cell 4 that says cell 4. When you run the program it makes the cells width bigger for some reason.. I hope someone can help me out a little. I can't get it fixed.

You can achieve this by writing your code in OnRowDataBound
e.Row.Cells[cellIndex].ColumnSpan = your value;
Even if you can achieve this, i would recommend to consider other approach. Using colspan and count of column to represent time is not a convincing approach.
Consider setting width of span or div for such cases. JQuery will make your job a lot easier.
