 Wow, the world is getting crazy. To which extent should a PM be spam ? It is like if you had to ask permission for talking to someone. Do not be overcautious, for God's sake.
People won't accuse you of spam if you formulate a polite PM to ask for their help, but they are true weirdos, and have a bizarre understanding of the community. Plus, if they would not want any hassle like this, they would have had disabled the Private Mail feature.
So do not hesitate, this is your project, go !
(And would I understand the slightest thing about Azure, I would have proposed my help, but Azure is for me a mere synonym of blue and nothing else).

I just wanted to confirm, I do not want people report me as spam, and terminate my account. (you have no idea how hard I worked to get my 20k rep points in this last decade )
But now I am confused.
Also the application is ready and working, and has nothing to do with Azure. I just need some confidence before I start marketing it.

If it's an unsolicited email, it's spam - especially if you're asking for help. I got so sick of getting unsolicited mails from people on this site asking for help that I switched off my email facilities.

Actually we all work on some kind of software project, so we do not have to be a project manager to use a 'project management system' (you are right, this actually sounds heavy).
This is just a web application that helps you organizing work items, and collaborate with your team.

I've implemented automatic logon for on RootAdmin[^] for those already logged into CodeProject.
I'd love some guinea pigs who are logged into CodeProject, but not logged into RootAdmin, to pop on over and let me know if they see a message at the top of the window regarding their login status.

It did not work for me. I tried both with my IE8 and Chrome (Version 23.0.1271.97 m) running on WinXP SP3.
I have never been to RootAdmin before, does that matter?

However, when I refreshed it just repeated the same message. When I tried to sign in manually it took me to the "Setup my Account" page. I updated my details and clicked "Create" but it seemed to have a problem and took me to the "bad hamsters" page.

I just tried using Chrome. It successfully identified who I was, but when I followed the instructions and clicked refresh, it didn't log me in.
|

I have set up my account on RootAdmin and now the automatic logon works in Chrome. It takes a few seconds before the message to refresh the page gets displayed, but once I click on "refresh", I am logged in.
But it does not work the other way around...

as in: if you're logged into RootAdmin and not in CodeProject, then when visiting CodeProject you're not automatically logged in? This is by design, but can potentially be changed (though potentially messy)

Exactly.
I can imagine it could get ugly and I was just messing around to see if it would work (guess I should have used a joke icon somewhere). I don't see a problem with it not working that way.
