Yep, the same happens here with my Firefox. Note that this bug applies to the menu that pops up when you hover the cursor over you profile name. Just wanted to post this bug but its already done.

Though I didn't really find anything wrong with the old layout the New layout looks pretty good with a few exceptions.
For instance the grey text on the Latest Articles page is really hard to read. The same can be said for the text on this page.
Back when I was designing Access databases I found stayed away from using white as the background for forms or textboxes. Still do when I build an app I use Control as the color with bold black text. My clients found it easier to read.
All this white space just glares at you and if the text is grey it tends to fade into the background.

Overall I like the new layout. Much cleaner. However... do we really need -so- much vertical spacing?
In the lounge for example: text, 1/8" gap, faint line, 1/8" gap, text, etc... Measured it with a ruler!
Font's are also... fuzzy? v's & w's are oddly faint. The old font was definitely easier to read. Old eyes are already plenty fuzzy. Now my computer is enhancing the effect?
Using Firefox btw.

I have been subscribing to an RSS feed to CodeProject for some time. A couple months ago it stopped delivering ONE message per article and started delivering multiple feeds for the same article. It there any way to stop that and go back to ONE initial feed and that's all.
Seems to me I remember seeing an option when I first set this up for just that. If that option is still available I can't find it.

I want to receive notification of new projects, articles, etc only once. I don't know if they are being resent with each new comment or just being constantly resent.

Well, when I look at that web page I see the same thing. But I don't believe that has anything to do with my question.
I subscribe to the feed through MS Outlook. In Outlook, I keep getting the same items pushed out to me again and again even though nothing has changed. No edits, no comments.
The way it used to work was that each item was pushed out to me one time, UNLESS, there was an edit to the article or a new comment added.
This change seems to have occurred about the time Code Project was given its fresh look, which I might add, was better the old way.
Is there something at your end that is causing each article to be pushed out multiple times?

The RSS feed was not touched in the redesign.
I'll keep an eye on it my end to see if I can replicate what you're seeing.

Have you heard of the Application Initialization extension for IIS? Whenever a web app starts (e.g., when you modify the web.config or DLL's), this extension allows you to specify which pages to automatically hit so they get compiled before a user visits the app. Haven't used it myself, but I'd like to.

Yep - seen that, but to materially help it would have to hit several hundred pages to build up the cache, since it's the cache building that speeds things uo the most.

Hi CP,
The boxes with headers "Your Filters", "Top Experts in 24hrs" , "Top Experts this month" and one box saying "Your status enables you to edit this question. Alternatively, if the question is incomplete or simply isn't a question, then please report it." in quick answers section are not aligned.
I mean the left border of the boxes saying "Your status enables you" and "Your Filters" are not in the same left border line of the boxes below them.
I am not sure, whether it is a bug or the implementation is like that, but posted because looks odd to me.

I just noticed that when I want to save a article now i'm not finding a add to favorites or add to book marks link anywhere on a page.
I assume that is still one of the items being worked on in the new site version ?
Or am I just not seeing it ?

The left border of the "New Discussion" button perfectly aligns with the border. The top side of the button does not. The same with the Go button on the right. The page bar (orange) fits perfectly within the border.
In Fluid mode, the last message at the bottom has a bottom border that is a few pixels above the section divider. It would be nicer if they overlapped.

You know there's a per-pixel cost in all of this? Savings had to be made somewhere.
