The Weird and The Wonderful

The Weird and The Wonderful forum is a place to post Coding Horrors, Worst Practices, and the occasional flash of brilliance.

We all come across code that simply boggles the mind. Lazy kludges, embarrassing mistakes, horrid workarounds and developers just not quite getting it. And then somedays we come across - or write - the truly sublime.

Post your Best, your worst, and your most interesting. But please - no programming questions . This forum is purely for amusement and discussions on code snippets. All actual programming questions will be removed.

I agree with you, but some people are just bricks.

I used to work with this programmer whose opinion was that if his program GPF'd it was the user's fault.

All I could do was make his life hell by finding out how fast I could crash his program and then give him a step by step set of instructions on how to reproduce it. He eventually quit and I'm sure he's doing the same at a new location.
