Sorry may be I put the sentense in wrong way. I have split them in to small fucntions. Now I got another problem.
I am calling EndRequest method. In that method I am calling all the methods that I have created for validation. I have put debug point also. It is hitting the point. Means all the validations are loading, but still the messages are not being displayed. It is happening only when I make selection change in the ajax comboboxes that I have put within update panel.
When I click the finalize button, its not going in to the code behind which is expected behavior but the ajax validation messages are not being displayed.
Any sort of help pls.

There's a line of code you have to insert in order to execute jquery on a webform with an update panel. It's been awhile since I've any Jquery, so I might be off a bit on the sample, which is hand typed.
You should Google the Topic, there is a page out there with a more detailed description, took me a couple of days to figure it out.

Technically, Advanced JQuery does not require the use of an update panel. With advanced jquery, you just make small ajax json calls to a web service, that duplicates the behavior of the update panel.
[LESSON]
The update panel has nothing to do with the AjaxControlToolkit. It is a member of System.Web.Extensions. It's purpose is to make small partial postbacks to the server, of the contents of it's container.
To use the update panel correctly, you should create the update panel, and wrap the contents of the panel inside div tags, the update panel is the content container.

First you have to wait for the DOM
Now get the instance of the PageRequestManager, and assign a EndRequestHandler
Now you bind your functions to the EndRequestHandler
Then List your functions after that.

FYI
I don't use update panels anymore. After years of writing and testing, overall in the very end of collecting knowledge for them, plus looking far into the future, they have too many limitations in the end, and are not smooth and silky in operation, and will never be. They are clunky, and customers don't like them. They create mistakes in judgement by the user, in which they will keep clicking until something happens, producing double records.

Hi,
I've created a WCF Service in C#, everything is fine while I am working in localhost(hosted in ASP.NET DEVELOPMENT Server).
I'm trying to host my Service in IIS 7.5, but i get this error message while i tried to open Service.svc file: [IMG]http://i43.tinypic.com/xbgruo.png[/IMG]
I also changed users privileges, to access to the files, but still nothing changes.
Do I need to change/add something in web.config file or the problem is still in configuring IIS?

These are all questions that you have to answer. You have to decide how you want your security to work. Some people provide the option for questions and others just do an email link. It all depends. You have to decide on your strategy first and then write the code to do it.

This depends on how your authentication and security layer is structured.
Normally how I use the security question and answer is when the user wants to reset their password they first have to answer the security question. If they forgot the answer to their security question they can provide their email address to have the link mailed to them.
The GUID used in the link can work multiple ways, depending on the security level you want in your system. and is used because of one way encryption on the password which makes password retrieval not an option.
1) The quick sloppy way to do this - Not advised.
In the database you use a uniqueidentifier as the userid with a default value on the column as newid() rather than an int with auto increment set.
When the user enters their email address to have their password reset link emailed, you cross reference the email address in your database with the one the user entered, if it exists you grab the user id, hook it into the link in the query string and mail it to the client, on your password reset page you pull the GUID out of the query string and update the password entered by the user where the userid = that guid.
Personally I will not advise doing this but it is the quick way.
2)
You create a table for password reset which contains three columns. UserID, TempGUID and DateCreated.
When a user requests to have their password reset link emailed, the email address they provide is check on the user table, that user id is then inserted into the passsword reset table, the TempGUID is set with newid() and the date created is set with getdate().
The tempGUID is then used in the link mailed to the user. when the user clicks the link in their email it takes them to the password reset page, you grab the link out of the query string, get the userid from the password reset table where the tempGUID = the link GUId, and update that users password.
The advantage with this method is you are not exposing the userid, you can then either create a sql job or service that runs at x intervals, where it checks the DateCreated, compares it to the current date and time, and if a certain amount of time is reached, deletes the entry. So basically that link is valid for x amount of hours and then expires.
But that should give you an idea how it works and what you might want to implement.

Use the tilda key to show application root.
So instead of
aznimah wrote: <script type="text/javascript" src="Login_files/jquery-1.js"></script>
use
<script type="text/javascript" src="~/Login_files/jquery-1.js"</script>
This basically means look from the application root, in a folder called Login_files for the file.
