You can define the property on the master page and set its value visibility to true of false on content page by using their property.

try out the following

I guess it would be, this is hand type off the top of my head

Then in your code behind page on the Page.Load

If it were my project I would create this as a server control and have it set its own visibility. That way it could be used anywhere and not so tightly coupled to your masterpage.

Create two different masterpages one for specifically LoginPage without any Menu or Logout Ribbon and other for after Login with all functionality.

Hi all,

I have an asp.net application, I have pageload, render and some other methods. I have a linkbutton on this page for which there is onclick event. This event is firing when my page is loading and without even clicking the button.

I am not sure why is it happening. Please any kind of help would be really really helpfull.

Events are not triggered magically. Look at your code, you are causing it somehow.

Avoid page rendering multiple times

Hi,

I have an email method written in render event, I dont know but the email is sent multiple times.
Is there any way to avoid page rendering multiple times, or I am using session to control the execution of send email method.

But if the session is there its automatically sending the email. Is there any better solution for this situation.

In render I am capturing the page layout and I am checking for a session, if session is available it has to send the email automatically. But it is sending for multiple times. And there is some email button in its click event too, we have to send the email, but there also it is sending email for multiple times.

Hello, I have a Details View on my page. Since I want to Insert/Update the Content, I have Used the Insert and Edit Template Fields and I have Editor Controls in it. Now I want to get the Content of the Editor and pass it to an object. I simply tried to find the Control from the Details View and Cast it to a textbox, but it gives and Error (which is Obvious).... So Now, I'm not able to understand, How should I move ahead???

And the proper place to set the user specific culture and uiculture based on data in de database, ofter the user logs in?

The bad thing is that processes do inherit the language/culture settings from Windows, not from a parent thread. Consequently, you must set that whenever a new thread is started - i.e. at least once for each web page.

My javascript has a mutidimensional array variable whos content should be filled out by an xmlhttprequest (no ajax preferred) call to a c# web service. The javascript array looks like something below:
