In my web application, we are using oracle database. my question is connection pool based on web application. Our application end user around 500. for these which connection is better i) create new connection for every request of user. ii) single connection pool via singleton object of the class iii) session based connection pool ( each user has separate connection pool)
which principle is using for web application? can please give suggestion or valuable link to me

If you get a lot of people connecting. Specfic pool for specfic guy is not an good thing because it whould cost too expensive resource usage.
The ideal solution is one link conducting many database links. In my project. One or serveral thread are only conducting database connecting and sql processsing. When finished the sql it will send data to others.

Hello all,
In my web site (see sig) I'm using a contact page in roder to allow anyone who needs to contact the company to use any of the available methods. i.e. form contact.
The form contact is a gathering of information and at the end it sends an e-mail.
I'm using:
<form name='contactform' action='herewego.php' method='POST' enctype='application/x-www-form-urlencoded' onsubmit='return checkfx();'>
The checkfx is returning true if everything is ok and false if any of the fields is empty (or full of spaces).
Given the checkfx funtion returns true, some times I'm receiving all the fields empty and this is worrying me a lot as it seems that the company can be loosing mail contacts and at the same time giving a bad impression to the possible customer.
Any idea on what can be happening?
It seems that between the checking of the fields and the sending of the e-mail the contents are being lost...

Your onsubmit handler is only called if the form is submitted by someone using a browser with Javascript enabled. That sounds like it should be most people, but I personally use the "NoScript" addon for Firefox when I visit websites that I don't know or trust very well, and I suspect a lot of other people do the same.
Apart from people without Javascript, you could also be seeing empty form submissions from search engine crawlers. If a crawler follows your form link to "herewego.php", it won't fill in the form to get there.
So, to be certain that you are receiving data from the form correctly you should validate the form data on the server side. Javascript validation can be more user-friendly, but it is quite easy to bypass. Validating first in Javascript and then again in your PHP is the safest option.

I'm not sure I understand your question. Are you trying to create a textarea that allows people to put in rich text? If so, you will have to move out of being "simple HTML" and move into a Javascript-based solution. Try looking for What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) editor plugins for your page.

It looks like you created a label, assigned it the "&" symbol, but when you show the message box, you don't put the label in any one of the message box parameters.

The messagebox is empty because you have not specified a message. Use one of the overloads found in the documentation[^]

"&" is special. It's used to underline the letter that follows it.
I think doing "&&" will make it show up by itself.
