I too am using FF 7.0.1. Chris's link would not work for me until I cleared history, cookies, etc. It works fine now.

I did some experiments and found that if I try to access the ASIO article via "multimedia > audio and video > audio", I am directed to the address "www.codeproject.com/script/common/404.aspx?aspxerrorpath=/kb/audio-video/asio_net.aspx", which does not work.
If I then modify the address to be www.codeproject.com/KB/audio-video/asio_net.aspx", I can then access the article successfully.
Could it be that my browser is being hijacked?
Edit:
Just discovered that by clearing my Firefox history and cookies, everything works perfectly. Clearly the problem is exclusively on my end. Sorry for the false alarm.

Is the "Page not Found" handler, meaning that when you clicked on the correct link it simply sent you straight to the "Can't find it page". As to why that would happen before, and not after, you cleared your history is a total mystery because your browser should know nothing about what to do in case of a missing file redirect. My only guess is that, once, the file could not be found due to a network issue or a file sync issue our end, and your browser stubbornly cached the information that "This link goes to that 404 page" without bothering to have another actual check on the state of things.

I was just thinking that it might discourage users from maliciously down voting posts, articles, etc, if they knew that we knew who they were. There is nothing wrong in getting a deserved down vote - but nothing worse than an innocuous post or decent article getting down voted for no apparent reason. At least we'd be able to ask them why.

This is the same as listing voter's names. For articles you need to provide a comment when downvoting, so there's no issue there. For forum messages it would simply lead to voting wars waged via sock-puppets.

Fair point re articles but do you not think that the wars might burn out very quickly? Or, perhaps, insist on a comment for 1 votes even in forum posts?

Hi CP developers
I had a total reputation points of 1025. Then I added two of my blogs to the CP > Articles > Submit blog. When I was submitting the blogs, I got the parsing error , so I resubmitted it. In the blogs list I found that one of my blog was submitted 3 times and the other one 2 times.
So I browsed to the 'Manage blogs' link and deleted my duplicate blog entries , a total of 3 of them.
But to my astonishment, I found that my reputation score has been reduced to 975. I checked the details and found that I did not get the reputation points for the duplicate entries but 50 points were deducted for each blog entry deleted.
I was punished for cleaning up the mess. Please check.

I think I had mentioned this before. I've tried turning the setting on, then saving the Preferences, then turning it off and saving ... but this seems to have no effect.
Since, now, I'm more active on the Quick Answers forum, commenting, and replying with answers, these are increasing in number, and I prefer not to have cryptic e-mail updates.

I think with QA that you get an email message every time anyone posts a comment to a "Solution" that you have added; even those in reply to other comments. These are not private email messages, as they would have the return address of the sender rather than the generic CodeProject address.
