I suspect that the issue is with the Server.Transfer - try swapping it out for a Response.Redirect..
Server.Transfer only (IIRC) changes the "context" on the server, so as far as the server's concerned, you're on that page, but as far as the client is concerned, you're still on the original page. Response.Redirect should keep the browser end in check too.
C# has already designed away most of the tedium of C++.

hello i have developped an asp .net website, but the password manager/autocomplete feature on ie9 does not work. Although it works fine on firefox 6 and chrome. Has anyone else encounteres this problem?

I need some clever regular expression writing in IIS7 to redirect traffic from one site to another, the pages are similar in structure but information needs re-writing.
Here's an example:
http://www.mysite.com/manufacturers/Name_of_Manufacturer_6828/Name_OF_Product_43146.htm
needs to be structured as the following
http://www.newsite.co.in/free-msds-download/name-of-manufacturer/name-of-product/
Here's what needs changing:
1). Only Alpha, Numeric and hyphen's allowed.
2). Change '_' to '-'.
3). Remove the '_NUMBER' directly after the manufacturer name and before the '/'.
4). Remove the '_NUMBER' directly after the product name and before the '.htm'.
5). Remove the '.htm' and replace with a '/'.
It needs writing into the code below please as a permanent 301 redirect:

iam working on asp.net web site
i have issue from client that i didn't work on it before
they want when internet is offline they work normal & store data
when internet become online they work online & the data they enter offline is moving to online database
is that mean i must have database local & another 1 is on line
or how i'll do something like this
they access application from many duifferent location i need any help

Well, your issue can be done by architets of database and software developement, in general view it can be done by 2 centralized databases, first database which is online and second is setup in any server and whenever user lose internet connection applaiction should do CRUD data on server, when internet connection is avaliable all data from local server should transfer on online database.

I am new to working with C#.net 2010 professional version using asp.net programming. I do have a little experience using C#.net 2008 on a desktop application.
I have the following questions:
1. I am looking for good references that I can use to learn to write an application that has all code in contained in aspx, cs, and js files. I will be writing some new webpages that are suppose to be written similar to the existing ones. (Have the same look and feel.) There is a main internet web page that everyone logs on to by supplying the user name and password. From the main page, the user selects what webpage the want to work with.
2. I need to come up with a 'graphic representation' of what the new web page is suppose to look like. Is there some way using visual studio.net 2010 asp.net version where I can draw what the page would look like? If so, could you point me to a book and/or a link that I can use as a reference to learn how to draw what the web page will look like?

I need to write a web application which will post to a specific url, get the response from the url and then analyze the response and put it into a json object and send back to client.
We have a mobile application which hits a url. The code within this url is written in Python. It uses Google app engine calls to send a request to a third party, gets the response, packages the response into a json object and returns it to the mobile application. I have not python knowledge and I want to write the whole thing in C#.
Is this possible?
Any other suggestions? The third party has no web service or any other exposed api.

Hi all, I am trying to do custom validation. I have two textBoxes. what I am trying to do is when user enter something in the first textBox then the Second TextBox need to be filled. Anohter word, if the first TextBox has a value then second textBox become required.
other wise both textBoxes can be empty.
how do I do it. Please help.

Hi, you can Create javascript function and inside that function you need to write code to enable requirefield validator which is used to check textbox2 needs to be filled. use onblur event to textbox control to call this javascript function. forget about using CustomValidator here.
