i saw some people voted for Beer (or anything else alcoholic). I was wondering if it were for certain occasion or daily consumption

We only get beer on Fridays after 3:00pm and we're limited to 1 bottle. We also get them on special occasions like parties.

We had a nice bar with beer always on tap when I worked at the Air Force base. We usually drank on Friday afternoons.

We get beer every Friday after 3:30pm. There isn't really a limit to what we're allowed to drink so most of us catch public transport on Fridays to avoid DUI.
My team leader's reasoning is that free beer leads to happier employees and therefore better productivity during the week. I think his logic is sound, but head office (which is in another state) would probably still disapprove if they ever found out they were shouting us booze

Not now, but in the past (pre-bubble) we had a beer bash every Friday at 3pm. They would actually go get a keg and I have fond memories of the blender mixing up margaritas in the lobby.
I remember once looking at my bug log and I commented on a niggly little UI bug: "Go outside and enjoy yourself! This really doesn't matter!". That didn't go over too well. 
The best bit was that because most people commuted there was bulk of the keg left which went home with the lucky winner.

A company I used to work for had free coffee, yogart, chocolates, a fussball table, use of company car, and a massage chair and masseur - in case you got stressed out at work.
At one stage they had rented a medieval castle to entertain clients and the employees could use it as well (although it wasn't free). I swear I'm not making this up. Eventually they got rid of the castle - that worked out a bit too expensive.

Worked for a company like that too.
Fre Free sodas, juice, water, drinking yoghurt, perculated coffe, instant coffe, a variety of tea (herbal and others), free lunch and supper from the canteen. This is available to all staff on a daily basis including weekends. Alcohol was for free on Friday afternoon's. Alcohol consumption was however restricted as they did not want anybody to leave the premisses drunk.
This company does marketing, and call centre support for online casinos.

I had a job where the company got insanely busy in the month leading up to the end of the tax year.
They used to get people in to do head and shoulder massages and other stuff (not that stuff) to keep the staff going through that time.

Why am I still shocked when I see such stupidity.
Looking at the "Other" responses it is clear that some people just don't understand anything.
1. "Tap Water" is a type of water! So select the "Water" option.
2. The survey relates to drinks, not food!
Conclusion... stupidity is everywhere, no matter where you hide it will find you

Actually there is a difference, the one between tap water and bottled water (picky I know but the difference is the cost which indicates a stingy employer)

I don't see how this difference matters. The survey says 'Water'. It doesn't specify a certain kind, so it encompasses all water.

But then I do work for a water company.
I once had a job, many years ago now, where 5 of us worked away during the week, Monday to Thursday, and were put up by the company in a converted barn with one of the directors and his wife in a separate flat above.
Each day she would make us breakfast, lunch which was brought into where we were working, and an evening meal.
They also bought us a crate of beer each week and a carton of cigarettes.
That was quite a sweet deal, but after 6 months they went bust. I do not think it was the amount of beer we drank that put them out of business.

I don't think it's really free. It's not like I could come in and get a cup of coffee if I didn't work there. It's more a part of my compensation, which sucks because I don't drink coffee or tea, and only rarely water...
