I disagree. You are not proud/ashamed for every of your action. There are things your are proud of and some your are ashamed of, like wise there are many actions your are neither proud or ashamed. In this case, I am neither proud or ashamed of my actions. I vented something out, so what is the big deal about it. Would that make makes me happy or change any thing in me, nope. Nor it hurts to vent. Many people down voted the message. Would that makes me ashamed or sad, Absolutely not.

I am extremely proud for a feature set we just released. Because it opened many opportunity in the product and customers are excited. Would I have the same feeling or even would I be proud for every code I wrote, absolutely not. Because some of the code is so basic that it does not make one proud, but in the grand schema things, over all I am proud of what I do. Does that mean I am proud of each and every one of my contribution? Nope.
