I have found that if you load an assembly from memory then later reload a new assembly with some changes, .NET will use you last loaded assembly as the reference. With no need to restart the app. I have successfully tested this. All thats required is to do some cleanup "after the user logs off" although the charting/plugin type assemblies ussually are small (and memory requirements small).

Assembly asm = null;

// the following replaces Assembly.LoadFrom()
FileStream stream = File.OpenRead(assemblydll.Text);
byte[] buffer = new byte[stream.Length];
stream.Read(buffer, 0, (int)stream.Length);
stream.Close();
asm = Assembly.Load(buffer);

Hope it helps Smile | :)

WebBoxes - Yet another collapsable control, but it relies on a "graphics server" for dynamic pretty rounded corners, cool arrows and unlimited font support.
