You haven't set sObj.applicant to a value so it is null.
Your missing

sObj.applicant = s;

Just a note for the future. wrap your code in the pre tags (code block) so the code is formated. It makes it easier to read.

Hi,
I have a DataGridView that is bound to a list of objects through it's
datasource property and the first column is checkbox column.
If I try to change the checkstate for the first time, CellValueChanged event is not firing. From the second time its firing. I tried with the below events, but of no use
dgvAwards_CellStateChanged
dgvAwards_CellMouseClick
dgvAwards_CellValuePushed

Is there any other event which can fire at the first time. Thanks in advance

Hi,
Handle the CurrentCellDirtyStateChanged event and hopefully the problem will go away.
See CommitEdit[^] and CurrentCellDirtyStateChanged[^]

The SaveFileDialog that opens up while clicking the export button of the CrystalReportViewer by default filters the predefined file types. Is it possible to custom define which files to be filtered? Please help. Regards.

Hi.
I was wondering if you could give me some information about Python.
I downloaded it from Python.Org(Python 3.1.3).And install it.
When i run it(IDLE (Python GUI)) a window lik Cmd is shown(title=Python Shell)!!!.
Is that python? isn't it hard to make proram with it?How have GUI? how to add controls on a form or..... like the thing we do in C#??!!
Actually,My teacher at universiy told me that making program with Python is easier than C#!!and i couldn't say anything beacuse i don't know what Python is.I just said, maybe but its 2 years that C# have taken me and i my not change it.
Of course i Googled it,But finally came here in CODEProject.

What I think you want to do is use IronPython. It's for the .Net framework.

The programming language is one thing. In my opinion, the IDE (Integrated Development Environment) is far more important. What's the use of a good programming language when I have to write my programs in notepad.exe (or emacs), use extremely long command lines for compiling, and create debug-log-files for debugging? That's why I prefer the Microsoft side of the programming world.

I know there is a way to programmatically set WIA properties through C# code, but I was wondering whether there is a way to disable the selection of these settings once the dialog opens?

I am not sure there is a way to disable it programmatically.
It calls the STISVC service, and although it can be disable manually via the control panel, I think it is not available to disable via c#.

There is a config setting you can use, sc config stisvc start= disabled, but that is as much as I can see of automating it.

I do not want to disable the whole service though, only the selection of the properties e.g. the combobox for selecting the DPI etc. so that the user cannot modify these

Hi all,

I have two DataGridView in which I am setting its AutoSizeMode to Fill I want to change automatically the second DataGridView column Width the same as the first one change.

I tried these two cases:

private void dataGridView1_ColumnWidthChanged(object sender, DataGridViewColumnEventArgs e)
{
    dataGridView2.Columns[e.Column.Index].FillWeight = e.Column.FillWeight;
}

private void dataGridView1_ColumnWidthChanged(object sender, DataGridViewColumnEventArgs e)
{
    dataGridView2.Columns[e.Column.Index].Width = e.Column.Width;
}

In the two cases this error appear when loading the form that contains these two DataGridView :

This operation cannot be performed while an auto-filled column is being resized.
