Hi,
I am wondering, how I can enforce a http response code with Routing ? I am using ASP.NET Web Form 4.0.
So far I understand, routes are using Http code 200 all the time. Can I override this code ever ? Or, if I place http status code response in my Page's Init or Load event, will that override that '200 ok' ?
For example, I have the following route,
routes.MapPageRoute("404", "{*url}", "~/Page-Not-Found.aspx");
I want to issue Http code 404 for this routing instead of 200.
Please help.

Hi,
i am facing a problem in ajax calendar extender, when i want to select a date in MAY 2010 i find all the days are the same "29" i dont know why, and when i try to go to May 2009 i cant find that month in the calendar, other than that everything is working just perfect, is there something wrong with that month?
this happens in all the computers in the company i work.

Clearly there is some issue with your codebase only. It's not a known issue nor a small one that could be hidden. I would suggest you to go through your code and look what's wrong. You can refer the AJAX Calendar Extendar[^] example if needed.

Hi
I am really scratching my headache around on this one!
At the moment I am undertaking a Proof of Concept project, and on a page I am loading an Xml Document, this xml document needs to be saved into a viewstate so, I have written aftering loading up the xml document:
this.ViewState["tempDoc"] = xmlDoc;
The load of the xml document happens by the user clicking a button.
Now, I am not getting any errors at this stage. On the next page I have used:
protected override void LoadViewState(object savedState)
{
base.LoadViewState(savedState);
}
The problem being is that on this page I have no ViewState data! Even just calling the ViewState on the same page where I set it gives me the same problem. I have even tried setting simple data types like numbers and I am getting the same problem.
What is going on???!!!
The funny thing is though, I am not getting the problem with Session, but for this project, I can't use Session.
Any ideas?????????????

I have tried it on the same page, but still got the same problem.
My little test was on button click to set the ViewState but redirect to the same page. So, I am very unclear on how to solve this one!!! I really do need some help!!!

viewstate available only in same page and on post back means when you click any button then it's data will be available but if you will redirect to same page or another page on click of button no viewstate data will be available.
You get the best out of others when you give the best of yourself.

Obviously you need to ensure ViewState is enable at the page level, but also make sure it hasn't been explicitly disabled in the web.config, or the machine.config.

I developed a c#.net windows application and successfully deployed it. But while taking reports i am getting the error message "Load Report Failed". The same works in Visual Studio code. After making it EXE what happens??. Do i have to include the crystal reports seperately while deploying.....??

Are you deploying it on a different machine?You must also deploy Crystal Components.

The required assemblies should be included in the setup. When a managed application starts the framework will check the manifest for all required assemblies and version and fail to start if any are missing.

I assumed that he has just copy pasted the .exe on other system. My assumption sounds weird but I have seen many such cases.

Do you need to update connection strings perhaps? Have you included some logging to help you track what is happening in the release?

You just to need same path for rpt as it appear at run time means
if you created a Reports folder in debug or bin folder and put all reports in that report folder then

ummm i would hate to state the obvious but is your report embeded in your application or is the path hard coded.
If the path is hard coded, tisk tisk, then you need to make sure that the other machine can access that path.
If the report is embeded, check the connection string settings.
If at first you don't succeed ... post it on The Code Project and Pray.

You can handle body's unload event and use AJAX to perform server side operations like updating database.

Do you expect someone to provide you with the exact solution to your specific problem?
Write the code to update your database in the WebMethod function. What isn't clear about that?

Someone asked the same question[^] in this very forum yesterday. And looking at the timestamps of posts it would have even been on the first page of this forum when you asked the question. You will get much more out of the forums if you read other questions rather than just reading answers to questions you post.
