I now worked this out. I just needed to add IDataErrorInfo to the partial class!
Simple really...
I now have a project that validates data entry using FluentValidation, on Entity Data Model tables, in a MVVM project using WCF services! yippie......
If I get the time, this will be my first article, me thinks

I did post yesterday and no response - and usually seem like a very long time before a response. The program I took over coding was written with Sandgrid and can't switch over to MS framework grid 
This place is great almost instant responses and I love codeproject.

Im playing videos using directshow but when I minimize the form and then bring it back to normal the video seems to disapear. Anyone know why?

I don't know why, but you might try handling the normalize (and maximize) event and calling show window, or bring to top, or maybe even focus on the video window.

hello,
I have developed a windows application in c#. I am using Windows media player to play video files.
for (int i = 0; i < ds.Tables[0].Rows.Count; i++)

wmp.URL = GlobalClass.Global.onlinePath + GlobalClass.Global.videoName;

Media player plays the last video file where count ends. i want the player not to play next file until 1st ends.
Please help me in this regard.

I've got main application (which listens on some port and accepts connections) with a TcpClient variable in the fields which is used to get connected client.
I run some time consuming BackgroundWorker from that main application which performs some calculations and send data to that connected TcpClient with asynchronous BeginWrite().
DataWrite AsyncCallback is defined in the main application body.
Why BegineWrite() called from BackgroundWorker blocks until all data was sent and DataWrite AsyncCallback finished?
How to solve the problem to send thread results without DataWrite block?

I would use a thread pool and fire off a thread to perform the DataWrite processing. Configure the thread pool to allow one thread to run at a time (since you can't start a new write while another write is in progress).
Let the thread pool manage that, and tyour background worker will be free to work as intended.

You should be able to take what's in that article and massage it to fit your own needs.

I was wondering if there is possibility to avoid TCP packet sending thread addition. BeginWrite is asynchronous operation call and should return immediatly.

Which is the best tool for .net obfuscation ? i found that dotfuscator is good tool for obfuscation. is any disadvantages are there with dotfucator?can i go with this tool.

I'm using Xheo codeveil, and I'm very content with that. As for it being better or worse than any other, I don't know, because I'm not a hacker, so I cannot judge which obfuscation is easier or harder to crack.
But I would be very interested in following this thread and get some pointers from people who knows.

If you're talking about the obfuscator that came with Visual Studio, it's crap and won't prevent reverse engineering.
You actually have to *buy* a product, and there are several on the market. Be aware that only one of them (that I know of) is capable of obfuscating wpf/silverlight code.
Try googling for "obfuscation tool", and you'll get many hits. I've seen them for anywhere from $169 to several thousand dollars, but have never had the opportunity to actually use one.

Dotfuscator sucks.
Phoenix Protector[^] is pretty good and free
As with any obfuscator, it is not actually immune to reverse engineering, it just delays it.
