Well, if they don't fill them in, then the tip/trick shouldn't show anything (as far as the description is concerned). Right now, we get what looks like the first 255 characters of the text of the tip/trick, and it kinda looks raggedy..45 ACP - because shooting twice is just silly

I only read code that is properly formatted, adding PRE tags is the easiest way to obtain that. All Toronto weekends should be extremely wet until we get it automated in regular forums, not just QA.

When you look at a tip/trick, you get the buttons at the top of the screen that allow you to ask/answer questions (Quick Answers). That doesn't seem appropriate..45 ACP - because shooting twice is just silly

I often record 'Aha!' moments on my blog. Sometimes detailing unexpected behaviours and how to work around them, or just cool ways to do things. While these would not qualify as 'articles' I think there is a strong case for feeding these to Tips/Tricks via tag much the same way Technical blog posts are.
e.g.

Can we make a small change like, If the answer is marked as 'Accepted Answer', then it will get a '5' vote automatically.
Also a small problem in message boards.
In Firefox 3.6, all the icons (before the user name) are displayed half. This is not the case with IE only in Firefox 3.6. Its not important but it might get fixed by changing the CSS... Also this happens only in special case, like right now only 'Site Bugs / Suggestions' board is affected, but sometimes all the board behaves the same.
- Firebug shows the following css class is overlapping the icon in half

I'll fix the hover issue in the next few.
As to awarding 5 on an 'accept' vote, we're thinking of reversing it. Instead of having a "Accept answer" we would have a 5 stage voting bar with options "Great Answer", "Useful Answer", "meh", "Not helpful", "Pointless". Instead of asking members to vote and mark as accepted, we just ask you to mark an answer and we'll highlight the answers over, say, 4.5.

Was this error shown in a popup by your browser, within the Firefox error console, or actually on the page itself? (I'm guessing the latter).
I'm stumped as to what is causing this. Possible a server cycling? It's always the same error, the same place, the same very non-XML data.

I copied the C# forum's html to an xml file and opened it with firefox, I got this:
XML Parsing Error: not well-formed

Which is pretty much the same..
So I'm guessing firefox is incorrectly going into xml mode for some reason, but I really have no clue
I didn't look too closely at that page when it errored, sorry
