no i am not getting any error but this is not working.....it is showing validation for more than 5 characters also.............

i don't know particularly i got it frm a website where that described its work as:
"The method checks whether the user's entry is at least 5 characters long, and sets the IsValid property accordingly."

so if u know any other method plz specify.....

You can very easily check in your code behind as:

if(txtBox.text.Length > 5){return false;}

and i think for javascript, you should try making that 8 to 5.

Sql Time Out Error

Hi friends,
I'm facing SqlTime out error in My web Application.Even though i increase my connection time out,it still showing error.
I've reastarted my Sql services but i't working for 1 hr 2 hrs then time out Repeated.
I checked each connedction ive used.it is closed properly.
What may be the error?

Hi,
I have a dropdownlist that contains items filled by a table. what i need is, when the user write any characters in the dropdownlist, only items that contains that characters must be appear.How i can do this?

You can get the Selected Item Text using .
Label.Text = RadioButtonList1.SelectedItem.Text

In RadioButtonList1_SelectedIndexChanged methods you can check the selected item.

You have to retrieve image from database in a byte array.
Search on google, you'll find many solutions. Smile | :)

Insert integer Value NULL when We Passing Empty string.
Also in sqlserver DataType of this Column is Integer.

What is your problem ? You want to insert null value in Integer field when passing empty string or what ? Confused | :confused:

I want to embed link of my site in some other site. the link is having querystring. when a user clicks on that link in that site he will be redirected to my site. i need to generate link programmatically and embedd it in other site. how to do that plz help.

You can't change contents of other website programatically. All you can do is to provide a text that other website owner can copy and paste to their page. Something like

<a href="Yourwebsite.com?querystring=value">YourWebsite</a>

Hi All,

I want to build a image uploading websites in ASP.net. For every image I want to show number of views. (i.e. how many times a particular image is viewed).
Can anyone let me know how to perform image file view count for my application? Should I hit database update column on every image click event? Or any other best possible slandered solutions are available for this problem?

I guess persisting in database would be the best method. You may need to record IP address as well to avoid counting requests from same user multiple times.
