The main differences are that salamander will precompile your app into native code, xenocode will just stuff the .net executable inside a wrapper, and that xenocode will combine all the .net dlls in as well while salamander will leave them separate. IIRC one of the virtualization companies sells a similar service for ~$5k but I never investigated it in detail because of the price differential.
