I just upgraded to an Intel Core i7 920, and I have to say, this is one phenomenal CPU. Its quad-core, hyperthreaded, and when paired with some nice high-end DDR3 1600 or 1866 memory, it absolutely SCREAMS. Having 8 logical cores is nice, but the but the best part is QPI and the crazy memory bandwidth...25Gb/s with current 1600/1866 stuff, and up to 35Gb/s with the forthcoming DDR3 2000. OMG | :OMG: All I can say is...if your a true compter geek, the Core i7 is the CPU for you!
