Hi,In my project i want to display todays birthday names in page load event.
I created a field called birthday in sql. It stored as date and time. Now i want to compare only the datepart of birthday with datepart of getdate()?
I write the query like this. But it got some errors.
select (datepart(dd,getdate()),datepart(mm,getdate()),datepart(yy,getdate()))=(datepart(dd,cre_date()),datepart(mm,cre_date()),datepart(yy,cre_date())) from photos
Can anyone correct this?

Since, the date information is stored in the database you might want to do the processing in SQL (SQL function or stored proc) or directly execute a query. Take a look at Ado.Net.

For Example inpalce of WWW.abc.com/Home.aspx Or Www.abc.com/Contact.aspx
it should come www.abc.com/pg .
That means it should not show www.abc.com/*.aspx.
Please suggest me how to do.

That is called as URL rewriting.

If you are on IIS6.0, you have to create a directory named "pg" and put one index file. So you can access www.abc.com/pg and the default file will be loaded.
IIS7.0 allows you to create true extension-less URLs. Another option is to use ASP.NET MVC which produces extension-less URLs.

hello,
thanks for the people who gave me advice and help to solve my problems.
i did my application well, its working
now i need to deploy my web application,
i follow
File->Add Project->New Project from the main menu.
From the Project-->Setup and Deployment Projects-->Web Setup Project and i gave name
then
a File System Editor window appears
i Select Web Application Folder in the left pane in this window
then
From the Action menu i select Project then add project output then a Output Group dialog box appears with no data in it..
what will be the problem,
when i search in net the Output Group dialog box appears with some data in it.
could anyone help me?

Hi All,
I am using an ActiveX control for Thermal Printing in my website.... It is working fine for most of the client but now it is causig am unarthodox problem....
Once the activex is installed... it prints the label for first time only but when I issues the command for second time... the website hangs...
Closing the browser and logging again solve the purpose but only for the first print command... for second print command it hangs.
please suggest what is causing the problem???

Hi all,
I've installed SQLServer 2005 in my pc with its Reporting Services. I used it for months and i can create Reports, but this last month, we install SQLServer 2008, VS 2008 and .NET 3.5 framework. I installed all these components with out uninstalling the lower versions. Now, i tried to create again a new Reporting project in VS2005 but it gets me an error and i can't create new report project, nor can't open an existing reporting service project.
This is the error:
"Method 'get_UserContext' in type 'Microsoft.ReportDesigner.Project.ReportServerInformation' from assembly 'Microsoft.ReportingServices.Designer, Version 9.0.242.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=89845dcd8080cc91' does not have an implementation."
I tried to goggle but can't find anything explaining that error. Am i correct, maybe there's a conflict in installation? And i can't find the way to uninstall the Reporting Services. I tried to install it again, but it only stated, that the component is already installed.
Please can anyone help me. And send me a way to resolve it?

Just go to the Start->run->inetmgr .in that one find your project folder and right click on it,take the properties. You will get a window and select the ASP.NET tab ,there versions will be listed.Change that to 2.0,then click ok,

thanks. ah you are saying i have to change the asp .net version? but there's no project that has been created, no .sln file or anything, as in no project at all. I can't open the existing files/projects, that i've created before, so no build/compilation, and i can't assign or create also a virtual directory for it.
When i chose the New>Project>Business Intelligence Project>Report Server Project
that error message comes out that leads to no creation of project at all.

this code is working file on my localhost. but is giving a prob on web as:

read what the error says and do it. Also, you'd do better to have your files all stored within the application root of your website. Then people could just be given a list and right click/save them, as well as fixing permissions errors.
