I have used much graphics in my project and in result, my program is working very slow.
Graphics are used to draw the title of product and it also creates craphics to work as a background image.
Some graphics are also used to give a pure "Glass" look to program and components used in it(ex-buttons,forms etc.).
Plz help to seed up the execution of program with the same graphics.

There's no one command or thing you can do to speed up the code you've written. You simply have to go through the code and think of different ways of doing what you are. For example, If you're contantly redrawing the same static graphic, draw the image once to a bitmap, then just draw that bitmap image to whatever you need.

Like Dave said, you may want to try to improve your code.
I think the best way to do that is running a profiler on your code.
The profiler runs your code, and then tells you how much time each function/method has taken, and how many times it has been called, so you could work only in the parts of code that are representative.
An example of .net profiler is EQATEC Profiler

Is there a way in VS2005 to see all threads created? I want to see if I am creating new threads and not aborting them.
Never Mind I found Debbug --> Windows --> Threads

I am using vb.net 3.5 as frontend
I have two forms, one is MDIMain and other is a modal form
When I open a form from a MDIForm as Showdialog(), there is two forms shows in the taskbar, one is MDI and other is Modal form.
That is the Problem. Because I want to open the modal form always top of the Mdi form. that means when MDI form shows then always show sthe modal form .
How can I solve the Problem?

set Modal Form properties "ShowInTaskBar" to false

I have a datagridview with a comboboxcell.When I try to select an item in this column the mouse goes on the last item and I must find a way to make the mouse go on the first item.
For example: the items in my comboboxcell are: "Month","Day","Year".
The mouse goes on "Year" but I want the mouse to go on "Month".

Change the backcolor property of label control to transparent.
label1.backcolor=color.transparent

But i already have tried it, the label become transperant for the form(Parent) not for the Windows Media Playe  r....
I set the label's parent to WMP but nothing happened...

Do the same thing at run-time not at design time.

Transparent isn't. All Transparent does is tell the control to take on the background properties of it's parent container, which is the Form it's sitting in.
For a truely transparent control, you'll need to make a custom version of the label. Google for "vb.net transparent label" and you'll find a bunch of examples.

Hi there,
I'm stuck with a problem formatting a datetime value:
Dim thisdate As DateTime = #10/15/2005#
Me.Label1.Text = Format(thisdate, "mm/dd/yyyy").ToString
Returns 00/15/2005
setting the month to 00 instead of 10
I must be doing something wrong, for I don't find any mentioning of this problem.
I use VB.NET Visual Studio 2003
Any help is more then welcome !

Hi,
I'm currently using flowcentric and need to connect to SQL2005, I have tried all the examples in the manual that I have for flowcentric, but none of the are working.
Flowcentric uses vbscript (It's the first time I use vbscript), anyone that can give me a few pointers or an article or whatever there is for more info on this

Currently i am trying to communicate with me hardware using my CPU. i am not able to transmit and receive command to and from the hardware. I have been told that mscomm control and mswinsck.ocx might be able to do the job but i am new to both library. Can anyone advice wat to do??

I have no clue what you're really getting at, so I'll take a guess as to what you mean:
You're trying to bind a set of 1,000,000+ records to a ListView. The solution is simple. Don't. Why would the user want to scroll through that many records?? Use some kind of filtering on the data to reduce the number of records returned or some other method of organizing the data. There's just no way any user is going to put up with a control containing that many records.

I don't think there are separate ways for ipv4 and ipv6. If the computer has ipv4, you'll get an ipv4 address. If ipv6 is enabled, you'll get an ipv6 address (::1).
