Hi All,
I have a problem with converting MPEG to WMV and MPEG4.I got a library from net .But it converts MPEG to WMV only.It is not suitable for my needs.I want to convert the MPEG to WMV and MPEG4.Please help me...Very urgent....Thanks in advance......

Hello,
[1]Using explict handle / local rpc(naclrpc) for rpc implementation.
[2]Following function is declared in inferface ".idl" file.
[callback] void DisplayString([in, string] unsigned char *psz);
The function is declared on client side as

[3]Problem is server is calling the callback function DisplayString() and the function is getting called on client side but the "psz" paramter is not showing the value that the server is passing while calling DisplayString() function.
[4]Please put some light on the above issue.

Hi,
I want to write a sentance in Arabic in the development tool (Visual Studio 6.0) and I want to display it in a messageBox.But I couldn't write any thing in Arabic although I can write in a MS word document.I changed the language of visual c++ to Arabic by setting Project-Settings-Resources-Language tab.That did not solve my problem.Do you have any suggestion for that?How can I write in Arabic to the MessageBox?

May be you should try Tools->Options->Environment->International Settings and setting your language there.
You may need to set Arabic for your OS, in control panel first.
Its never over !

Hi all,
I m using a SDI type splitted application.i m split my view in two columns.
At one side i m using a Treeview and other side i m using a Formview.
in formview i m using a ListCtrl,here on clicking on item of List control i m open a dilog box and change the values of ListCtrl items.
but the changed values are not reflect at same time when i changed.
may be there is problem of refresh window.
so please tell me how can i show changed values at same time.

Are you setting m_List.SetRedraw(FALSE);
before the changing the ListCtrl Items.

I have a typical MFC program with lots of control and display items on its dialog. Several Timers control to regular updates.
But I have just started to notice that the focus is always returning back to my program when its running. This is every second - the main Timer rate.
I think I must have set some properity - but which one?!?
So I have to close down the program to do anything else on the computer.
ANy suggestions please
Windows XP Pro; MFC C++ on VS 2005.

This would be a lot of code:-
Basically I update checkbox, textboxes, some ActiveX controls and enable/disable pushbuttons. Call other procedures.
I was hoping that the dialog or one of the control had some sort of 'always-in-focus' set?

Have you tried disabling some of those timers to see if they are at fault? Do you have any calls to SetFocus()?

Hi David, I have two Timers; 1 at 150 ms and 1 at 1000 ms. If I switch them off no problems.
However I did have a look at a simular program and it used several Timers and that runs OK, GUI will still update when focus is lost.
So still confused!?!

I can minimize the application into the System Tray, but the problem still remains. No other application can hold focus.
I have check as many proprities as I can and they all seem set OK.

All I am doing is enable or disable buttons and checkboxes on the dialog - running a watchdog function to keep everything logical.

If you leave the timer code in place but comment out the enable/disable statements, what does that produce?

The problem was this line:-
m_cModeDisplay.SetForegroundWindow();
I don’t know why I put it in, but it’s the usual case when you loose something they are probably in the first place you looked, but you sometimes don't look properly!
For the same reason I thought that the problem was setting some property of the dialog, but I needed to debug the program and try and locate the area and then the line that was the problem!
I just needed someone to deflect me from my perceived view of the problem so that I could find the real problem.

Hello,
is there any way to catch the text label from a CTabCtrl,
for example if i have a 2 or more tab on my CTabCtrl?
Not how to change the text of a tab, just to catch the label as control referenz?
Maybe something like GetDlgItem?

I am not very sure of your needs, but are you looking for GetWindowText/SetWindowText for the control
Somethings seem HARD to do, until we know how to do them.

You want to use CTabCtrl::GetItem; something like:
TCITEM tcitem;
tabctrl->GetItem(0, &tcitem);
Then to get the tab label you use tcitem.pszText.

Hi,
I my dialog i have many controls. I am disigning this in 1024*768 resolution. Now my problem is in this resolution it doesnt need any scroll bars all the control will fix in the screen exactly. But if i change the resoltion to 800*600 some part of dialog is becoming invisible. So to add scrollbars i have used ScrollDialog given in this http://www.codeguru.com/cpp/w-d/dis...icle.php/c1859/ . In this code by default Maximize and restore buttons are enabled. I have tried so many ways to diable those. but it is not working. Can any one help me?
