You are looking for WYSIWYG[^] editor. FCK editor is good and can easily integrate with ASP.NET app. Also as CG said, please purchase a good book.

i have 2 dropdownlist. in selected changed of first i bind the secend. when i 2 times change the selected item in first it bind 2 times and i see that the datas in secend dropdown repeated. and i should remove all of the data in secend dropdown and then i bine it. how can i remove them ?

how i substarct one time from an other like

then i have to divide by 3

any help?

Cast these into DateTime instances and subtract that DateTime you will get a TimeSpan instance.

Hi,
I have an editor control called FreeTextBox.
I have put it in a detailsview control.But it caused the detailsview control to become too wide and expand out of the DIV which contains the whole detailsview.
I checked the problem by removing the FreeTextBox from the detailsview and the detailsview width becomes fine.
How could I set the width of the FreeTextBox correctly so it won't cause the detailsview to expand? Confused | :confused:

SQL connection in Login page using asp.net c#?

I create a login page in asp.net c# but I do not know the SQL connection to connect the SQL and check the username and password? Mostly I search online is about VB not asp.net #.

System.Data.SQLClient is the namespace where ADO.NET classes used for communicating with SQL server are located. Use SQLConnection to create a connection. Use SQLCommand for supplying a query. Use SQLDataReader for reading the data.

But, I am wondering how to I validate the user input with SQL database using asp.net C#? For example, I create a login.aspx and I put the code in login.aspx.cs. I have put the SQL connection inside but I do not know how to I validate user input with SQL database? Do you have any good websites suggested for that? Mostly I search is in VB.net not asp.net in C#. I don't know the asp.net C# syntax of checking the user input with SQL database?

I use GridView in ASP.NET and I use asp:HyperLinkField but it not work when I use DataNavigateUrlFormatString="javascript:showProfile('{0}').

It not recornize sign ":", so how can i do?

Hi,

I have developed one user control,i have written most of the functionality on that control, just i have added that to the aspx page, in the ASCX, i have loaded dyamic controls like checkboxes, labels... based on the Checkbox selection, i want some DDL operations(Edit, Create Delete), on database in the button click. in the button click i want checkbox ID, to find which box is selected. i am not getting that ID. Please help me if any knows.

I need to write a loop to loop all items in a listbox and run a query for each one.

i have this so far:

for (int i = 0; i < departments.SelectedItem.Selected; i++)
{
}

but its not working, i basically need this

for each row which is selected run query

any help would be great

There's no listbox in ASP.NET ?

use foreach to iterate over the selectedItems, or use a for loop that goes through all the items and checks which ones are selected. What you've written surely won't compile ?
