Hi All,
I got a problem with saving the uploaded files by client to the server.
Since the files should be uploaded only when the form is completed which is in MultipleView control with the multiple file upload in the very first view, i took the entire Httpfilecollection into Cache on the first button click and saves it from the cache at the save button click. It is working fine in local machine but not when the application is published.
The multiple file upload is working in another form where im saving the files in the first button click itself so here the problem is with the caching the HttpFile Collection.
This is my code
in first button click

If i host an intranet website on a particular server , i can access all it's pages through the remote computer .This is quite clear.My question is , How can make the buffer of text contents from those pages from the remote computer ?

What do you meant by "buffer contents" ? Are you trying to access that site and to read the text ? Then use WebClient class. It has some methods to do that.

Hi
I create a xml file in the C# code during a button pressed event and it's created perfectly.
After creating the file, it suppose to be downloaded to the client.
The problem is that without any sensible reason, all the HTML code of that page is appended to the xml file when it's downloaded.
The command that is used to download is:
Response.WriteFile(fileName); //(fileName is a String)
I've already tried to use 'Response.Clear();' but it didn't help.
Please help me with that issue.

Hi,
I am a newbie in designing web services. In my web service, I have created a webmethod which is extracting some data from my SQL server and then show it following some queries. Now everything is running fine from my local pc.
But when I try to access my web service from a remote pc with my pc’s fixed IP (http://163.180.145.139/test1/Service.asmx) they show all the webmethods list but after clicking on any of the operations it shows: The test form is only available for requests from the local machine. You can check it too by following the above link.
1. Plz tell me how can I solve this problem so that everyone can access my webservice and sql server data through it stored in my localhost from remote pc.
2. Plz tell me why I can't access any data through the webservice by typing a line in the address bar like this: http://163.180.145.139/test1/Service.asmx/ShowSuppliers?str=1990. In some tutorials its said that it will work. But I am getting error: Request format is unrecognized for URL unexpectedly ending in '/ShowSuppliers'
For your information I'm using windows Xp, IIS 5, sql server 2005 enterprise edition, MVS 2005: C# for my work. Please let me know for any further info.

Have you used RadioButtonList control or just RadioButton?

Hi friends
I have little problem here.
I am creating data tables dynamically.
I want to filter it using sql query string.
Suppose, I have four data tables with the same structure but records may be different.There are two fields ServiceMethod and Rates.
Now I want to filter all tables and want to get match records with the ServiceMethod.
Suppose,four records in First table,three records in other three tables,
and only two records(Service method) are same in all tables.
I want to that two records by filtering all tables and sum of rates and want to add matched records in new table and bind dropdownlist.
Can any guide me how to filter more than one tables using sql query if data tables are created dynamically?

If you have multiple select statements in the query and you filled the results to a DataSet, obviously you will have multiple data tables.

How can I use select method for more than one tables?
We can use select method to filter just one table.If I have two tables and If I want to get relational data from these two tables,select method can not be useful.Am I right?

You are right. Select() can't be used across multiple tables. If all these tables belongs to one DataSet, I think you can use DataRelation to link it. I have not done that before, just a wild guess.

Hi all,
Let me explain in detail what the problem actually is..
I have tried debugging the code starting from page_load, i can retrieve all the values under that event. I'm using a function called update_click which am calling that in listbar_click

In the above code i can access the value of all the variables but when i try to access the value of Trim(txtCode.Value)it says,
"Cannot evaluate expression because we are stopped in a place where garbage collection is impossible, since the code of the current method may be optimized."
I'm getting this problem only in this function... Can anyone please help me out..

Hi guys,
We have upgraded to vs2008 and .net framework 3.5. Everything works
perfectly in our development environment. However when we deploy using the
new web deployment project to our testing environment we recieve the
following error when browsing to the website "asp.net client side framework
failed to load".
We have also copied all the code across and receive the same error so it is
not a deployment issue it has something to do with the box. Are there any
special Security settings that we may have missed? The box still runs the 2.0
version of the site fine. We are using IIS6 and we have installed the 3.5
framework on this box.We are using IE7 .
Any suggestions would be appreciated
