i m working with vb or c# in .net cf 2.0, and i m trying to controling GPS, actiualy after goes off for power saving my gps also off, but does not avctivate after power on the device, have to myself gps on, i want to on programetically, if possible than pls guide me.

we know default after 10 seconds, device goes off for saving power and touching and key it will on.

Right now I'm building my XPe image as follow:
Start with a "Starting XPe image" using the "NT Loader" and the "Windows Explorer Shell"
(and other components, including my device list from tap)
Boot it from my writable USB, goes through FBA, install the device driver from the CD (they don't ship with .INF, so I will just use their installer), install .NET, change display settings.
OK, now I have a working XP Image I'd like to modify it to:
- use the EWF Filter (no write on the disk)
- use another shell (one of my .NET3.5 app)
- be ready for network boot.
How could I do that?
Any tip or links?

I've created a Windows Mobile 5.0 Application, in Visual Studio 2005 with 5.0 SDK, I would love to put in an info button, that gave them the version of my application, however I do not want to have to update this manualy, how can I make it autoincrement a version number on every bulid?

Hello,
I am developing an application to monitor Internet Explorer on Windows Pocket PC using Windows CE 5.0. I want to start my process whenever Internet Explorer opens.
We have tried hooks, but failed. We got information that says WinCE does not support hooks except keyboard hook.
Now, we have developed an application using BHO (Browser helper Object).
Here, whenever I browse URL then I can monitor Internet Explorer by following events –
OnDocumentComplete, OnTitleChange, OnBeforeNavigate2, OnNavigateComplete2.<br />
But we found that whenever we close Internet Explorer on Pocket PC. It does not closed completely, it get minimized and when we open it again the same website is opened with previously opened page without loading it. As a result the OnDocumentComplete event is not fired. That time my application fails. So I request you to suggest me some solution to get ride on the above issue.
We have used a sample application at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb158758.aspx which is present on our machine C:\Program Files\Windows Mobile 6 SDK\Samples\Common\CPP\ATL\PIEHelper

I'm trying to make an XPe image for diskless thin station (network boot).
I'm a kind of a newbie and I'm under the impression that in this scenario the thin PCs / touchscreens would download the whole image in some sort of RAM disk, and then boot from it.
I wonder if it's possible to reduce the size of the RAM disk by booting of a network share (i.e. not from RAM disk at all, but of the network, hence we will save diskspace (i.e. memory for the RAM drive))?

This doesn't seem to count? I also tried creating a new query in the Dataset, doing a count like

Hello,
I am new in mobile programmation.
I am programming in VB.NET 2005 Pocket PC 2003.
I have a textbox that its value entered by the user must be a number.
I check this on validating event of the textbox.
The problem is I would like to allow for empty string too.
When I ma entering the following it returns me "Frequency must be anumber"
The textbox is empty???

by default, the value of a text box in vb.net is a string.'
so leaving the text box empty also returns a string.
so when the text box is empty, you would stub to get the value as 0. so your requirement for a number is matched.

Thank you, I may haven't explain myself as well in my first message.
I know that empty string is default in VB, the problem is that I didn't get an empty textbox but a null one
If you see my code (first message) you will see that I am asking for textbox.text<>"" but I anyway getting the message "...must be a number"
If the string was empty as you said the message was not suppose to appear.
Is it normal that textbox by default is null in VB for pocket PC and not empty as usual?

i have trouble solving the problem below, am new to programming, so people please help.
Problem
Create a simple Maze game. You must submit multiple iterations where each iteration is in its own directory and has associated structure charts, pseudo code, and flowcharts as required.
This game is played as follows:
1. The maze contains a number of Rooms.
2. A room has a title, a description, and a number of doors which lead to other rooms.
3. Each door leads in a direction (North, South, East or West). Tthere can be multiple exits in one direction.
4. One room is the goal or target, the game ends when the player reaches this room.
5. A player starts in the starting room, the first room declared in the maze, e.g. room 1, although this could be a parameter in the data file.
6. The player is shown the title and room description of the room he is in, as well as a list of exits, from which he can choose one to take.
7. When the player goes in a direction (through a door) he is in the next room, and step 6 above is repeated.
8. The rooms for the maze are read from a text file. The following map is for the accompanying text file.
9. The format of the text file is as follows:
a. The number of rooms (int)
b. The goal room number (int)
c. For each room
i. Room title (string)
ii. Room description (string)
d. Number of exits from rooms (int)
e. For each exit
i. From room (int), to room (int), direction (char, separated by spaces on a single line)
