I have a website project I’ve quickly put together to test this in Visual Studio 2005 (asp.net & c#). On the master page, there are two ContentPlaceholders. In one of the web pages called search.aspx (which uses the master page), I have a ASP.Net WebControl Button in the second ContentPlaceHolder that I simply want to use to generate a postback. However, when I try the button in the browser, nothing happens! There is just no postback! I am using Internet Explorer 7; it seems to work okay in Firefox. But it needs to work in IE7 for what I am doing. Can anyone help with this, as it’s critical to the actual project? Thanks in advance. My website contain information about user which are suffering from disease. On every day or two or three time in a week a doctor doing checkup for my patient and updating his status in to database. Suppose it could happen that one of the patient data is not updated in to database from last 2 week that means doctor forgot to check that person then in that case i want to send the email to admin and doctor about that patient. Current status of that user is not updated from last 15 days (doctor dosenot check that patient since last 15 days). How can i implement this functionality. What i have to do? This bit of code will contain a query checking if any dates in the patient data that don't have updated info are more then 15 days old. If there are, it will loop all the records brought back and send an e-mail reminder for each one. This service should be able to check the database and send mails. Here is an article[^] which explains about how to get started with windows service.
