I'm not using any device context in mousemove. From mouse move i'm calling Invalidate. And in Ontain, i'm using CDC to create memory device context. If your code is working fine then please send here if you can.Or please mail to my id gkv_manoj@yahoo.com

1/ Are you sure you're just invalidating the CMyStatic control? If you're also invalidating the dialog box, then you'll get flickering.

2/ If your code is working, but not with the memory context, then have a look at Keith Rule's CMemDC article. I've used his CMemDC in many places, and it's great.

Just do a search for his name. He didn't write many articles, but it's a golden one.

Yes i'm updating only static control not dialog box.

Yes you get a flickering problem coz when you call OnPaint() or Invalidate()
you are redrawing the whole window. try this
Create your function e.g MyDrawing(int x,int y)
{
CClientDC dc(this);
dc.SetTextColor(RGB(0,0,255));
dc.TextOut(x,y,"my text");

}
in you Mouse Move Handler
{
....
MyDrawing(point.x,point.y);
}

then play around with rectangles

It will work but we need to call Invalidate() also b'se if everytime i draw text at different position then previous text will also visible.

Is it possible to remove those ok/cancel/apply buttons from
the property sheets?? (or) only disabling those s possible..
if so,hw to do them??

Hi,
I m gettin a run-time(debug window) error if i use th following code:
CWnd *pWnd = GetDlgItem (ID_APPLY_NOW);
pWnd->ShowWindow (FALSE);
and my application gets terminated..

I want to separate the number into values before decimal point and after decimal point. Is there standard C++ function for this purpose?
Example: 123.45 to 123 and 0.45

int iBefore = (int)dValue;

after decimal point,
double dAfter = dValue - iBefore;

Does any one how to set Visual Studio Environmental Variables

From this page it says Project->Properties->Configuration Properties->environment

Problem with that is I am running Visual Studio Team Edtion for Software Developers 2005 and When I click On configuration properties I have C++,Linker,..etc but I dont have a selection for Enviroment

Hi,

What I am refering to is When you setup variuos Libraries e.g. $(ProjectSolution) or $(TargetDir) These Variables Have Certain Values

If you were to go Properties-> Configuration Properties the first entry is General on the right hande side is any entry for OutputDirectory if click on the Drop down and go into edit There 3 buttons one of them is "macros" if you click on it you will see all the Variables However you cann't add of Modify them
