i have binded the records from the database and its working,

but i have written a query to sum a column and display in different column, so totally 2 tables should be binded,
i have binded using 'foreach'

i don't know how to get the error message

Create one label outside grid. And when your foreach loop enda, just check grid.rows.count. If its 0 then directly display 'No records found' msg in the label

Hello everyone,

I have a page Main.aspx. When I click on a button, it opens a modal dialog by using javascript:
window.showModalDialog(Modal.aspx,... );
That works well.

Then, on the modal page, Modal.apsx, I have a gridview filled in the code-behind to get data from a database.
That works.

When I close the Modal page, I come back to the Main page, great.

Now is the problem ...

When I re-open the modal dialog, it appears again but doesn't run the code-behind!
Does someone know why?

That's annoying as I cannot get the updated data from the database (updated previously with the modal dialog I first opened).

I hope someone will have the answer to how to correct that ...

Does the page_load event of Model.aspx fire when you open the modal dialog?

Do you think that it's because of Cache??

The event fires the really first time I open the modal dialog. Then, it doesn't fire.
If I restart the website (still in debug mode in VS), it works again, the first time I fire it.

I also thought of a cache problem or trick ... but I don't really know of to check that in asp.net ...

Could tell me more about it?

well, after i click the load button, the first row will load to the bounded textboxes. then, when i click the next button to display the next row it will stuck in the middle of the process. like, its hang halfway and it seems not going to finish. i hope you get what i mean...thanx. Big Grin | :-D

okey...i found="" two="" lines="" of="" coding="" about="" navigating="" the="" database="" but="" they="" are="" written="" in="" vb="" language.="" i="" don't="" know="" to="" convert="" it="" c#="" nor="" use="" it.
dataset.tables("table").rows(0).item("field")="" ---="">this will return the first record.
dataset.Tables["table"] .Rows.Count()--->this will return the total number of rows.

And I want to display it like this:

Hi All,

I want to use Excel WorkSheet and Crystal Reports in my project

so anyone give me some idea or tools for implmenting this particular in my project.

I had use successfully into my localhost but my IIS and Web Server throwing an error from web.config as configuration error for crystal reports when I used crystal reports assemblies.

And When I use Excel Sheet through

System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.ReleaseComObject

the error is following

"Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {00024500-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} failed due to the following error: 80040154"

so give me some idea or suggestions.

You might want to put the whole error message in a google search and see what comes up.
