Hi All, I tried to open a new IE window from C# code and it works for any sample website. However, the same code doesnt work for ajax enabled website. I have removed ajax by deleting
<%@ Register Assembly="AjaxControlToolkit" Namespace="AjaxControlToolkit" TagPrefix="cc1" %>
from .aspx but still it doesnt work, any clues ??? Do i need to remove something more than that ?
Here is my code for opening the new window that works on pages other than my website page:

First, you can't open a new windOw using C#. you are using C# to inject Javascript that Will open a new window.
where are you calling this code? Are you trying to hare this script called when the page is rendered on the client?

This code is called on my grid view event , I want to open a new window on grid event. But on this page where this code is not working, it is not working for any control , be it simple button click , and on other pages, it is working on same events, I wonder whats so special in this page , I thought it must be ajax creating problem but now i have removed its reference from the page with same result happening.

using a script library would be a better approach.
are you sure the grid event is being called? check the function name. Is it a typo?

I use this VB.NET code in my webproject to export a datatable to an Excel file. The characters é,ä, ... are shown in the Access database, I fill the datatable with the content of a table from the database and export it to Excel. In Excel é, ä, ... are replaced with strange characters... Does anyone know why this happens?

hai all,
In my project,I have developed an application using ajax anabled website..
When i place the Gridview Control inside update panel.. Paging is not
working..i.e ..in first page alone it is displaying the paging..when i go to
some other page(like 2 nd or 3 rd page).. the paging is not working..its
visibility becomes false...the script manager property is placed in the
master page.. how can i overcome this issue???? please help... thanks in
advance....

hi in my application i aam using two dropdownlists.
in pageload i pass values for first dropdown and select index of the first dropdown i display second dropdown values.
but without refreshing the page how can i get values into second dropdown.

Another way is using javascript.
1. create a dropdown list using javascript
2. From selected item of dropdownlist1 load items into the dropdownlist2.
To create a dropdown list in JavaScript
you can use the following code:

Numbers
Strings
Navigation
Colors
JavaScripter.net
Just change the menu items and the corresponding URLs to whatever you want. You can use absolute URLs (like http://www.javascripter.net) as well as relative URLs (like mypage.htm).
for loading items in dropdownlist2 the code must be written in load event of that page......

I have been trying to insert data into a database using textboxs and sqldatasource, the data comes from the user simple things such as name address,etc and is then stored in the database. I do not want to use datagrids and tables the information will never be shown to anyone it's for creating a simple mail list. If anyone knows any good articles on this please let me know.

Hello every one,
I have a problem in my web service.
Case: I
web service was host on "ABC Server"
and this web service have [WebService(Namespace = http://abc.com/)]
Case: II
now i have changed and host the web service on "XYZ Server"
and still this web service have [WebService(Namespace = http://abc.com/)] old server host name space.
then i am getting an error -->
"Server did not recognize the value of HTTP Header SOAPAction: http://abc.com"
does i have to change Namespace to [WebService(Namespace = http://xyz.com/)]

Please advice me.

Hi there,
i have the folder with may word document am using the below function to send word document to a PDFserver and convert into PDF, for example i will send(infile,outfile)-> (test.doc,test.pdf) but when i send the request it converting all the word file inside the folder any suggestions??

Check in the Fax Machine Manual how it can be programmatically controlled by giving Instruction. I guess you have to write a windows service which will Send and Receive FAX ( which will acts a Middleware between your webapplication and FAX machine ).

Hello all,
in my master page is having body onkeydown event. Which code written using Java Script. In this JS code are avoiding Enter key press.
I have one webpage1.aspx pages, it is refers to that master page. In this aspx page there is one multiline textbox txtBox1
My problem is in multiline textbox enter key is not working, because masterpage is having body onkeydown validation, so that i am unable to press enter in my multiline textbox
I need to avoid this onkeydown event only for webpage1.aspx. How can i do this.
plz give me any solution. any sounds will be appritiated.
