Hi kasi,

Another way is using javascript.
1. create a dropdown list using javascript

2. From selected item of dropdownlist1 load items into the dropdownlist2.

To create a dropdown list in JavaScript
you can use the following code:

Select a page
JavaScript FAQ
Numbers
Strings
Navigation
Colors
JavaScripter.net

Just change the menu items and the corresponding URLs to whatever you want. You can use absolute URLs (like http://www.javascripter.net) as well as relative URLs (like mypage.htm).

for loading items in dropdownlist2 the code must be written in load event of that page......

I have been trying to insert data into a database using textboxs and sqldatasource, the data comes from the user simple things such as name address,etc and is then stored in the database. I do not want to use datagrids and tables the information will never be shown to anyone it's for creating a simple mail list. If anyone knows any good articles on this please let me know.

Hello every one,

I have a problem in my web service.

Case: I

web service was host on "ABC Server"
and this web service have [WebService(Namespace = http://abc.com/)]

Case: II

now i have changed and host the web service on "XYZ Server"
and still this web service have [WebService(Namespace = http://abc.com/)] old server host name space.

then i am getting an error -->
"Server did not recognize the value of HTTP Header SOAPAction: http://abc.com"

does i have to change Namespace to [WebService(Namespace = http://xyz.com/)]

Please advice me.

Hi there,

i have the folder with may word document am using the below function to send word document to a PDFserver and convert into PDF, for example i will send(infile,outfile)-> (test.doc,test.pdf) but when i send the request it converting all the word file inside the folder any suggestions??

I want to enable a faxing service in my site so that clients could sent faxes to me with a copy as email. Please help me with some guidelines or other links that would be helpful.Also send what are the requirements for including a fax service in my site. Thankyou.

Check in the Fax Machine Manual how it can be programmatically controlled by giving Instruction. I guess you have to write a windows service which will Send and Receive FAX ( which will acts a Middleware between your webapplication and FAX machine ).

Hello all,

in my master page is having body onkeydown event. Which code written using Java Script. In this JS code are avoiding Enter key press.

I have one webpage1.aspx pages, it is refers to that master page. In this aspx page there is one multiline textbox txtBox1

My problem is in multiline textbox enter key is not working, because masterpage is having body onkeydown validation, so that i am unable to press enter in my multiline textbox

I need to avoid this onkeydown event only for webpage1.aspx. How can i do this.

plz give me any solution. any sounds will be appritiated.

i try to add the windows media player control through
toolbox
right click
choose items ans com
selct the windows media player
but that not apper in my tool box where it is available

I have given the above code in the page and i want to store Application("TipNumber") and it has to increment daily depending up the Date Value.

So, i have placed the Appliaction("TipNumber")=1 in Appliaction_Start of Global.asax but when ever the appliaction is running TipNumber is initialised to 1 only but not incrementing?

Please help me in solving this problem

This logic probably won't work since the Application_Start event is fired only once when the application starts, Not on everyday basis.

This is the actual code where i'm check the date with today's day if it matches and the TipNumber is not numeric it wil take first statement Application("TipNumber") = 1 or if TipNumber is numeric i.e having some number, it wil be incremented in else part Application("TipNumber") = Application("TipNumber") + 1
but TipNumber which is incrementing is not saving? Now how to save TipNumber n incrementing it and get the next "TipOfDay" from database?

Pls help me with some solution

Having this Data in the Application Variable is pointless. Application_Start Event is not meant for this. This will not serve your purpose.

Why don't you have a Date Column to the Thought's Table and fetch the Tip based on the Date. I think this would be the appropriate solution to the given problem.
