Hi,
Im a dba, i'll get reports from my server everday as below in HTML format.
http://rapidshare.com/files/61712371/Main.html
I Need to split the HTML files as below
http://rapidshare.com/files/61712350/1.1.html
http://rapidshare.com/files/61712363/1.2.html
If the files 1.1.html and 1.2.html already exists in the it should append to the file. I need to send this individual files to internal office.
I've written a code to read the Main.html file to a string, but after that i dono how to write that particular string.
Pls help me and provide me a code.

When i use the below commands, its copying all the data from first file to second file.

You've already got code to read the HTML file, right? On what basis are you splitting the files? If it is based on a character count, split the string containing your data every n characters and write each portion to a separate file.

in gdi+ we have gdipStrokepath to make one pixel(unit) width edge of a path(text).
is there any api for draw text with any font and size ,but only one pixel width font?
for exam. create one pixel pen ...??

You can get the path that represents a string or a letter. Then you can draw it n the manner that I think you're after.

sorry i need a clear answer.
i already do it with a thinning algorithm , but if you work with Strokepath (gdi32) you find it very fast and easy.
i want to know is there a way to create one pixel width pen and draw text with this pen ?

I think what Christian said was that in order for that to happen, you'd have to get the outline description of each character, create your pen, and draw each character outline yourself.

sorry ,i think there is a misunderstood...
for outlining i have not any problem.
when you draw text in a picturebox for example ,if you increase font size 3 factors change : 1 & 2.width & height of text , 3.width of font
i want to create one pixel width font for any width & height of text.
for exam. in Tahoma when you increase font size until 14 the font width(not text width) stay one pixel.

No it doesn't. On mine, every stroke of every character is a minimum of 2 pixels wide, mostly 3.
I have no idea what you mean by "the font width stay one pixel". The font doesn't have a width. Each character cell has a width, but it's not usually measured in pixels and at one pixel wide, the character isn't readable.

Hi,
I have a mdi application where the mdi childs can not be maximized. Now i like to have a mainmenu in the mdi child, but it seems ok in vs but at run time the mainmenu of the mdi child is added to the mainmenu of the mdi parent.
How can I keep the mainmenu in the mdi child?

Not supported. The menus in the child forms get merged with the menu in the MDI Parent form. There is no option to put the menus in the MDI Child forms.

You could consider using the ContextMenu control. This you can add to each mdi child form separately.
For all intents and purposes the same, just looks different.

Hello, I have a typical vb.net 2005 databound (strong typed ds, BindingSource, BindingNavigator) details form. The navigator moves the user nicely from one record to the other. The save button saves the changes and they are also saved as a group when the form closes..but..
Any one know how to update the db when the user moves records?
The form seems to want to wait and update the whole dataset when the form closes.. I want the updates written whenever the user 'leaves' the form.
I found a nice article here at codeproject on how to do this with a DataGridView but not with a regular details form: VB DataGridView Automatically Saving Updates to a Bound Database
The update code I can steal from what was generated for the BindingNavigator Save button...but the big question is....which object/event to use???

It doesn't even wait for the form to close. Any changes made to the dataset are only written back to the database when the little blue disk is clicked. If you close the form before clicking that disk, all changes are lost.
If you want to automatically save changes when the use moves to another record, handle the BindingSource's PositionChanged or CurrentChanged events and call the Update method on the TableAdapter and pass in the datatable object, just like you find in the code for the little blue disk's Click event.

Is that I'm doing a projet, and I want to include a ProgressBar in the Splashscreen. Is that possible? I want it to be a load progress bar ( Like the one when you turn on your computer, when is says Windows Xp). Could anyone help me, it will be appreciated.

To load what? You haven't explained what you want to do.
I suggest you read the documentation on the ProgressBar[^] control and follow up your post if you have a more specific question.

I don't want to show exactly the progress of something, is that I want the progress bar there to be like a decoration. You know like when you start your computer and it says Windows XP, you know there is a progress bar with the blocks passing by, I want my progress bar to be like the one when windows is starting up. I hope you understand.
