I want to make a desktop-like splash screen in the start of my web application.
This is small centered window that show a flash intro, which closes himself at the end of the flash. It's visually important that the window should have no border frame.
so in the page load of my first application page i do:
Response.Write("window.showModalDialog('../SplashScreen.aspx', '', 'unadorned=yes;');");
which opens that window just the way I need but with the window borders (blue border and a title and a red 'X' button), even though I specified 'unadorned=yes;'.
I know explorer only allows 'unadorned=yes;' for trusted applications.
also, I know our company has a trusted application certificate from microsoft.
So I need technical assistance on how to acheive the no border effect.
Also, how to make the flash close that window or make a server request.

I would dynamically load a div, embed an iframe and pass the URL to the iframe. YOu then CSS the div as much as you want. No horrible popups either.

Sounds like you may not have build your solution. Are you using a server on
your local machine or are you using another server over the web?

NO, I try to upload on clients server and not using local iis..I build that project and publish that site on clients server..using 'publish site' tool...What went wrong?

I have one DataGrid and Button. DataGrid is bind with some data. Now on Button click , I want a Datafield value of boundcolumn of that particular DataGrid. I can access the ItemTemplate's(there is one Label) value, but I can find Boundcolumn's value. My code is as given below:

Hi All
I am using master page in my web application. i have many layouts that are defined in my application like layout1.html,layout2.html ... upto 8 .
Some pages i have to use layout1 but in some page i need to use layout2
can any one please tell me how to change the layout of master dynamically ?

i installed the dll in the gac.There I saw it's properties
i found that the codease information is missing.

Bin
Admin
Images
Now, should I upload all these folders on the server.
Is it necessary to publish and/or deploy a site before uploading?

Even if you can build them into a dll, that can be reverse engineered. Why are people so worried about the security of files they upload to a server ? If the server is not secure, then you're screwed, no matter what you upload.

yes, it will work even if you will not upload .cs files
just upload .aspx,.jpeg,.gif(all image files),.resx,.dll files properly
but yes I m totally agree with Christian if your server is not secure than no matter what you upload it will be re-engineered
there are many tools for that
