Hello Every body,

I had generated an report but i m facing an problem in detail section.

In detail section I had four fields

1) category name
2) Category description(are not Mandatory)
3) sub category Name
4) sub category description (are not Mandatory)

But when the report is generated if their is no category description then it leaves that space and I want that next i.e. sub category name should come at that space not the blank space.

ex if description is their the output should be like dis:

Category1
this category belongs to birds.
subCategoryName
Sub category description .....

IF their is no category description then output should be:

Category1
subCategoryName
Sub category description .....

BUT IT SHOWING LIKE DIS:

Category1

subCategoryName
Sub category description .....

(working on c# 2005 windows application)

Hi,

If you want resize the row depending the values in crystal report, you can have multiple detail section instead of single detail section.

there is some property in each section , suppress the section for empty block.

also explicity you can write your own function against the suppress property of section.

Dear all,
I have made one application to check digital certificate against Revocation.
but it is throughing an error like : "The revocation function was unable to check revocation because the revocation server was offline.\r\n"
This is the code i have made up,

You need to provide more information than this, such as where the authority is.

Hi all!!,
how i can to set the TransparencyKey of a MDI child form ? , i' ve tried but it does not work:

 this.TransparencyKey = Color.Magenta;<br />
 this.BackColor = Color.Magenta;<br />

but the background is magenta and not transparent, how i can have the background transparent? thanks

Hello,

The Doku[^] gives only the information, that it is not supported when "RightToLeftLayout" is set to 'true'.

I think it could also be, that your graphic card doesn't support this feature (had it once, and it's also documented at msdn).
I think it had something todo with the "Color quality" in your "Display Properties" settings.
Maybe you can try to set it to "16Bit" instead of "32Bit"!

How can I convert the keyboard layout to arabic? I could covert the characters using the API 'LoadKeyboardLayout'. But the digits are not converting to arabic. I searched in the net for the API I understand the digits can convert with the function 'SetLocaleInfo'. This function receives 3 arguments but i don't know the value should be passed to this funtions. Please help to find the values of the arguments.

you must use System.Windows.Forms.InputLanguage Class to do this

here is an example to change the input language to Farsi

there is no need to use APIs

I just change my font to Persian/Arabic font and the numbers was ok (in Persian/Arabic) I used 30 fonts and all of them was ok

here is the arabic font pack from microsoft

but I didn't test these fonts
if you have problem with them and want the tested fonts just tell me Smile | :)

use the following statement to change the input language.

Hi All,

Now, I wrote an application with C#, and I add it to run at the Startup list of OS.

I found that the application need 60 sec to start.
However, when I run it 10 min after the start of the OS, it only costs 8 sec.

Could you give me the reason why and what cause the difference of the performance?

I think that is because when you start the OS, it needs time to start all process... And, if you sum the start of your app is more time. And if you think in the first time that your app is started expenses more time... IT's too much time to sum!!

To start your app faster the first time you can use ngen.exe. It precompiles and makes your application run the first time as fast as the other next.

Hi,

Don't have any syncronize call in the startup function like database/web service call.

Use asyncronize(delegate) call to do the startup functionality.

I trashed the C# forum (in Firefox) last time I posted a RegEx question - so apologies before hand if the screen all goes pear shaped..

Is there anyway to extract the PID and the timestamp in each block in a single regex? The pattern I am using, which gives me the PID is ...

(PID(?<MYPID>\d{1,9})\.LOG)</code>

I can then iterate through a MatchCollection obect returned from RegEx.Matches and process all the PIDS using the MYPID group. But I need the date as well. There will always be three lines following the line with the PID...

I can get the date with

(?<date>^\d{4}-[A-Z]{3}-\d{2}.(\d{2}: ){3}\d{3})

but can't join the two so I get the PID and date for each block.

The space after the colon in the date regex shouldn't be there - it prevents a smiley Smile | :)

from showing.

Any help much appreciated.

I have some weird problems connecting to SQL Server 2005 and I hope you can help me:
I have written a c# app on an acer n300. My app is connected to a SQL SERVER 2005 database. This app works fine. So I decided to install the app on a second pda . Both pdas have wireless lan and windows ce 5.0. But my app does not run on the new pda.

I have installed Compact Framework 2 SP2, but as soon as I try to connect to the database a get the error SQL Server does not exist or access denied. I am absolute sure that my connect string is OK, as it works on the acer pda. The configuration of SQL Server should also be ok, as I can connect from the acer devices.
Network connection is also OK, as I
can connect with remote Terminal Services to the machine hosting the database without any problems.
Can you give me a hint whats wrong? Are there any cab files that I must install on the pda before SQL Server 2005 Client is working? I only installed .net Compact Framework.

Check your sql server configuration.

TCP/IP is enabled ?

Microsoft SQL Server 2005->Configuration Tools->SQL Server Configuration Manager

Sql server 2005 network configuration - protocols for <server>

Hi there .
Check your sql server surface area configuration . and check 'Enable remote DAC' this will help you.
if you can't connect again to your server on the server side check sql server user permissions .

Sorry, I have no project to point you to, but the documentation can be found here[^]. Adjust the properties Minimum and Maximum to determine the interval of the scroll bar. Respond to the ValueChanged event and read the Value property to reflect changes when the user scrolls (or optionally use data binding).
