Hello,
i have a webbrowser control in my c# app. if i click on a link which includes php parameter like
"http://www.mySite.com/myscript.php&var=test" the navigating events fires up.
but when i check e.Url.AbsolutePath only "http://www.mySite.com/myscript.php" is being returned.
how do I get the complete url with all parameters in the navigating event of the webBrowser control?

and if you understand that i guess you might be able to help ... here's hoping
so i'm firing off an ajax request to a server side script that updates a database and returns the rating widget that was clicked on but showing the rating the user voted ... all this is good ... my problem is that the rating widget itself is drawn via javascript and when i put some javascript in a div using the innerHTML method the javascript doesn't execute ... i know i'm supposed to do something with the xml dom but i can't get it working
any help appreciated

When you receive the XMLHttpRequest reply in the designated ready state change function you are in a javascript. Execute the intended javascript code on the reply and replace the innerHTML of the div with the results of the that manipulation.
Something like "document.getElementById('DivId').innerHTML = RenderRating(reply);" in the ready state change function when to receive a successful status (XMLHttpRequest status of 200) from the XMLHttpRequest.
Where RenderRating(PARM) is you javascript function that takes the reply from the XMLHttpRequest as a parameter and returns the rendered rating.

Use onclick event to compare selected item with contents of listbox2.

You just have to loop through the items in listbox2 and look for the item that is selected.

Hi Guys,
I would like to use the DetailsView control for Insert, Edit and Delete of records. But my problem is that my tables consist of 50 fields. Is there a way to split the DetailsView into two columns? Or is there a way wherein I can use two DetailsView with only 1 common SQLDatasource?

How can I find out whether a page of iframe has been loaded completely or not?
Is there any event like onLoad, onUnload for iframe?

IFRAME has an 'onload' event in MS IE browser; in other browsers... in depends. However, IFRAME has one event that works everywhere ok - onreadystatechange.
ifrm.onreadystatechange = handler; Within 'handler', you will need to check ifrm.readyState property , it should be "complete" followed by "interactive". (I don't remember the exact state codes, look at the W3C site).

Can I use a javascript class method with the setInterval()? If I can use the method in the setInterval(), can some one look at this code to see what I am missing? It seems to give me an error when I call the setInterval() --> slide = setInterval("this.tableHide()", 10);

Browser gives you an error, because this doesn't exist anymore when setInterval executes.
To solve this, you must use closures. Look here.

Hello,
I have a website with an ActiveX object embedded in the default.aspx. When I run the project, I am asked to install the embedded object. If I browse to a sub-page, when I return to default.aspx, I am asked to install the same object I just installed!
I assume this is intentional (for testing purposes?). Is there a way I can setup IIS so I'm asked to install the object only once per session?

Let me get this straight -
1) You have a System.Data.DataTable object with data
2) You want to replace the data in a SQL Server table with the data in the System.Data.DataTable
With ADO.NET, using a data table you'd have to do it in two steps:
1) send a TRUNCATE TABLE statement to SQL Server using a SqlCommand object.
2) use the SqlDataAdapter.Update() method to insert the new records (just make sure that the row version for each row is set to "new").

Hi!
i m developing web portal in C# asp.net web application. i want to display image in hyperlink control rather than text. i can do it by using hyperlink's property that is 'imageurl', but problem is that in hyperlink,image displays in actual size not in that size which i have given in hyperlink height and width property.
can u plz tell me how i can restrict size of hyperlink upto my own requirment i mean i want to display all the images in hyperlink of size 100/100,even if image actual size is 500/500. just as i can do in image control.No matter how big image is but it always displays in that fixed size which i give to it.

Before I start, let me just say that if you want the images to display as 100x100, then it would be best and easier to simply resize the image and save it that way. However here are some options:
1) The easiest is to use HTML controls (an anchor "A" tag wrapped around an image "IMG" tag) instead of server controls. This is what is being rendered for you right now anyway when you are using the ImageUrl property of the Hyperlink control. The problem with it is that it doesn't set the Height and Width of the IMG element, it sets it for the A element. This is your best alternative.
2) If you are using the Hyperlink control because you want to use it for a postback event, then use the ImageButton control instead. The height and width properties of the ImageButton control will work in this case.

it works with Hotmail but it dosent work with Yahoo!....why?
I used the code which make the words move from right to left and it works with both Yahoo! and Hotmail
why the code of up to down or down to up dosent work with Yahoo??!!
