If the method is public and you have access to an instance of the form then make a call like the following one:
myForm.myMethod()
if you haven't access to an instance of the form, then you can call only static (and of course public) methods.

Using the Screen class I can retrieve the DeviceName of my second monitor, which I can feed into CreateDC to get a device context (DC) of that particular monitor. With it I am able to use all kinds of GDI drawing functions, which do show on my second monitor. Although that works, I would rather draw with a C# Graphics object.
The problem is that when I make a Graphics object (with Graphics.FromHdc), I get one with the property VisibleClipBounds set to the bounds of the PRIMARY monitor, and this property is read-only!
Does anyone know how I could get the VisibleClipBounds to correspond to the bounds of the right monitor (or all monitors)?

The Screen class allows you to get the dimensions of the second monitor. You can then create a screen and put it onto the second monitor by giving it those bounds. I'm not sure how you'd go about getting the DC to draw directing to the desktop, however, am I right in thinking that's what you want ?

Actually, I don't want to draw on the desktop but on top of my own application across several separate controls, basically to display a box around an area to draw attention to it. I tried walking through the nested controls on my form, but you can only draw in their client areas, which in some cases doe not cover the entire control (e.g. Edit boxes and list boxes with borderstyle "Fixed3D"). Hence I felt forced to revert to old GDI.

Hi, does anyone know if it is possible to include/stream/display an mhtml document in a webpage?
specifically what I want to do is take an mhtml document stored in in a sql server and render it as an mhtml document.
So far I have managed to store it and return the file but the the browser just displays the text of the file, without rendering it. I've used a datareader and just done a response.write

Hey there.
We are developing a system for contract management. Now, we generate a document with clauses selected by the user (for that document). For each clause that we add to our document, the headers and footers of the richtextbox is put into place, thus eventially when we save the document, you can imagine the complications.
Is there a way to filter and delete the headers and footers of the clauses when we load them into the document textbox? Or is the only solution to allow formatting only in the document and not on clause creation level.

Hi, as all we know there are at least 4 different versions of .NET framework.
is there any internal IDE constant, that defines wich version of the framework
is expected the IDE to build for?
Motivation:
It's very common having various versions of the framework living in the same machine.
The IDE seems to build compatible binaries with the newest framework installed on system, thus coppying the sources on another machine, makes impossible to compile the code, without, changing lots of lines of code..

You're looking for '__CLR_VER' - check http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/b0084kay.aspx. I don't believe you can change the framework you're linking to without switching compilers though.

yes! that's perfect, but seems that constant is not yet defined inside a C# or VB.net project.
Is there something similar when using c# or VB.net?

First, you're in the wrong forum for asking questions.
Second, no there is no constant in C# or VB.NET that defines which version of Visual Studio and hence which version of the .NET Framework your compiling against.
You can NOT switch compilers in Visual Studio. The IDE is very dependant on a specific version in order to work. If you want to switch the compilers, you'll have to compile your application entirely from the command line, specifying fully qualified paths to which version of the .NET Framework you want to use to compile your app.

Hi,
I have isolated the relevant differences between 1.1 and 2.0 and have put them
in separate classes, so when class XXX changes in a way that is relevant to me,
I create class LP_XXX and give it appropriate behavior; its implementation is based
on the symbols NET11 and NET20, one of which is always defined in my Visual projects,
depending on which Visual Studio version I use.
And yes I would have liked such symbols to exist automatically.

That's the solution I've adopted here: manually!
In real world:
Microsoft releases different version of the FrameWork at will.
Customers has diferent versions of Framework installed.
Our enterprise has 2 compiling machines, one for each framework, each with his own VS IDE
We want to maintain just 1 source at a time
So...
what the F*)%!=) is missing an IDE constant telling us wich version of the framework is installed with the IDE, and thus making and automatic compilation.

Burn them to a CD within the iTunes software itself. They'll be unencrypted. You can then rip them using whichever program you prefer.
Writing a C# program to accomplish this task is an exercise left to the reader.

You can run only Solution. You cannot run each file, for example Programmer.cs.
To build and run your solution, you can press F5 (with debugging) or Ctrl-F5 (without debugging).

Actually I use the ToolStripManger to merge WinForms menu items. (1) I wonder how this is to be done in WPF. (2) Am I able to merge menus from WPF into a WinForms app?

Hello to all,
i m working on a project in which i have to fetch mobile number and call them and store the response.I m calling in loop ,and this is my problem.
Calling speed is much-much-much faster than the response. so i decided to use 2 nd thread to get response. but it still slow . Please tell me how to get rid of this problem.

You may need to look at the problem differently. Can you initiate only one call at a time or can you initiate multiple calls at relatively the same time?
If you can only initiate one call at a time, having a separate thread to wait for the response will not speed your program at all. I can only see your program having more speed if you can initiate multiple calls at the same time.
