Datagrid is very simple in graphic ... I want to have a nice datagrid!what should I do? is there any component or code or ...?
for example I want to have a nice line under each row in datagrid ...
What can I do ?

i guess, your example can be done by using CSS.
If you want a datagrid component with more functionalities then you may try to use ComponenetOne WebGrid. I have tried once and i like it..

Suppose: You wanna change the header style of DataGrid. So, you wrote like that in StyleSheet..
.dgHeaderStyle
{
background: #566495;
background-color: #CEDDFA;
font-family: Verdana, Verdana, Verdana;
color: #000000;
}
Then, Set your CssClass "dgHeaderStyle" to the header style of datagrid.
<HeaderStyle CssClass="dgHeaderStyle"></HeaderStyle>

I guess,you are asking about ASP.NET Ajax (atlas).

Hello guys ..I am using a datalist which shows list of fields ...Each dataitem contains a repeater...which contains subfields..now the problem is that when datalist is displayed ..it shows lots of empty spaces between fields ..and when displayed in mozilla..the design is disturbed totally.Give me suggestions..I am waiting...

Hi all,
I am creating an application in Visual Studion 2005 (Asp.Net )and the language used is C#.Net.It's a Web Based Application .I put a TreeView Control in one my page.But in TreeView Control ,I need to add one more column means ,Its looks like
+ First 2
- Second 3
+ Third
+ Fourth
+ Fifth
+ Seventh 4
The heirarchical list shows the name of some topics inside a book and the right sided number shows the page number.The page number will be a link.How can I create a TreeStructure like this.Or please tell me an alternate solution for this..

U need to get the Name of the Topics and also the page Numbers in some collection say dataset and then bind to the treeview.
Here is the code..

Hi:
Following is the sample code. The problem is I have a class called Test and a static variable testString="Hotmail" in it. I am refering this variable using <%></%> tag in my page. The text is not displayed in my page when I run it. But when the text is available in View-Source.
I am getting the value of the static variable in <title> tag. But not in <a></a> tag.
Can anybody help on this?

Do you mean the string that you don't output between the start tag and the end tag of the link?

Yes. But it shows up in the page title tag.  Not in link title tag.

I have used a datagrid in my project.
Usually ( or always ) Columns of a datasource is next to eachother as it shown in datagrid.
for example datagrid shows like this :
Header1 Header2
databound databound
Now,my question is :
Can I have these columns under each other ?
like this :
Header 1 databound
Header 2 databound
how can I do that ?

Hello all,
I am working on a website which is using Forms Authentication.
For example we have different Roles as Admin and LocalUsers. LocalUser cannot view the Admin Menu Items and cannot access the Admin Pages.
But if the User Copies and Pastes the URL for Admin Page, while he is logged on as a LocalUser, he can see the Admin Page even though he do not have permissions to view that page.
I know that we can check the Roles in the PageLoad before giving access to the Page by User.ISINRole("Admin") and if does not have that role, I can Redirect him to the Login Page.
But is there any centralized way where we can do this. Or do we need to check the Roles in each and Every page.

So, we can check the permission of the user in basepage for all pages.
ASP.NET 2.0
Master Page can be used instead of BasePage Class.

wenever i run my project thro the instant server provided by Visual WEB developer 2005 it wprks perfectly .. but as soon as i try to run in local IIS sever i get some problems saying WINDOWS/Forms authentication failed ... Any solution to the problem is welcome ....
