Use a performance counter control.
Set the following properties:
CategoryName = Network Interface
CounterName = Current Bandwidth
InstanceName = name of the network adapter you want the bandwidth from

If you're using .NET 2.0 you should be able to achieve this by first calling the GetFirstCharIndexFromLine and then assigning the return value to the SelectionStart property.

When trying to debug a C# application, I get an erorr message that the debugger cannot start. Reason: "The binding handle is invalid".
Googling reveals that is due to Terminal Services not running.
Service control manager says it cannot start terminal Services because "the system cannot find the file specified".
Any ideas?

"Add/Remove Windows Components" does not list Terminal Services at all, and the service is listed only as "TermService" in the service control manager

i want to encoding dll so that i can encode or convert my mp3 files to some other formats. i tried to search on google but i didnt found anything.

How to use message box at serverside in c#.using dllimports its getting hanged and using javascript its a client side.can i have a solution for this problem

you can't run a message box on the server, if you do, the server will stop and the client won't be able to do a thing about it.
Why would you need dllimport ?

I have a requirement to draw a rectangle and a line on a the
container control and sometimes as i move the mouse the drawing must
occur on top of user controls and other controls, which are placed in
the container control...
I'm using System.Drawing namespace (C#) to perform the drawing.
But as i move the mouse and draw the rectangles, the drawing takes
place behind the user controls....I have a requirement to draw the
shapes on top of the controls...
please help.....

I need to convert a normal string to base64. This I need to access the internet through a HTTP Proxy. I believe I must use Convert.ToBase64 but this function only take byte[] as input. Can someone help?

Hi everyone,
I want to learning C# and for this purpose I bought a C# book and studing it however I know c++ but I think its better that I start of first.I was studing these objects
1-whats C#,...
2-save values in variables
3-control statements(selection,iteration
4-working with operators
5-Classes
6-Method and member functions of class
7-Arrays/enumerators/structures/Interfaces/Events/Delegates
8-Access custom to methods
9-Inheritance
And also see benginners articles on the codeproject but I dont know why I couldnt understood C# very well
and in fact after a short time I tire to work with C#.I guess maybe I habit to vc++ and its environment.
Now my question is what's the best way to learn it?

Only way to learn C# is:
1 Forget C++ use only the syntax
2 Read the conception of .Net Framework and C#
2 Learn more about event handling
3 Read some articles about databases and C#
4 Read 10 (beter 20) books for C#
That's it
You know C++. OK so, how many books you have reed to learn c++

Exactly I read two books for c++ and also read MSDN and studied example MSDN(I dont know but I think maybe C# is difficult than C++),however C# almost like C++ but I dont know why I couldnt learn it
