Hi,
I've a dropdownlist which I'm populating through Javascript.
Initially, it doesn't have any value , but based on selection in other dropdownlist, some values are added in dropdownlist.
My problem is that when page is posted back on server, it doesn't contain any value there.
Please help.

Hi,
you can use following code in html code:
when you use above code,you may not be able to switch to design view of aspx page,because frame is not compatible with asp.net2 but dont worry it will work properly in run time.

Hi everyone
i have the problem to debug my web applications.
It is some previleges problem.
error is
"error while trying to run the project.you do not have previleges to debug web server process."
from this forum itself i got solution that i should attach aspnet_wp to my application.But
it did'nt allow me to attach aspnet_wp.exe
i m using windows XP.
error comes while i m going to attach aspnet_wp.exe
"unable to attach to process.Access is denied."

i m developing a site for our client.There r sevral Uploading Images Options so how can i store tht Images into Web Server which is hosting our site.According to my knowledge Server dosent give any Read/Write permission into security context.
so anyone can help me abut tht. if anyone help me abut FTP thn plz give me some appropriate Suggestion.

Hi,
U can make a folder for images on seb server n then upload all images in that.
so that whatever images u need in ur site will directly fetched from the folder.
hope u want this only

u r right at the point of view of my sites Images but i want to use the asp:upload controls and browse the image at runtime thn i want ot save tht image into web server. i.e Picture upload into sites.
hope u'll understand my Problem.

Hello guys, yeah I know I can't belive I'm sort of working on xmes eve....anyways this is the functionality I'm trying to implement (Link below). I already figured out how to change the body color...now I am working on changing the font style and size on the entire page??
Does anyone know where the source code might be for this sample?? I checked on gotdotnet but not on there. Is there anyhting I'm missing????

What is the best way to produce and print simple reports from an ASP.NET application? I have an application hosted on a public web site (public hosting company), and would like to print simple reports without using such things as Crystal Reports since I have no access to the web server machine.
You could point me to any useful source for printing reports via an ASP.NET application.

I think the simplest is to format a "report" (e.g. a gridview of data on a web page) in your .aspx page, then let the user use the browser's print function.

You can use Report Viewer, But I think for that you must have VS 2005 .Just do some googling to confirm that.

I'm working on using authorization manager as policy data store for authorization and roles.. and i'm facing some problems i wish you can help me in
1)Do I have the ability to authorize users againest performing some action in ASP.Net page using AzMan while i'm using forms authentication not windows ? "it all depends on the user running the ASP.net as ithink when running in forms authentaction anonyoumus access is enabled and only one windows user will run for all users"
2)what is the use of such statment "it gets the user token but if there any more siple way .. and how this statment work"

i declare a variable to track the number of visitors to my web app in .asax file like
app_start event
application("userscount")=0
session_start event
application("userscount")+=1
session_end event
application("userscount")-=1
on testing the webapp by opening several sessions of a page to test the count, the Session_Start event works fine, but on closing a session, teh session_end event does not decrement
pls help

HI Aransiola,
If you use the Session variable rather then application as i saw in your example above then this will work fine.
Use like this:
Session("userscount") in place of application("userscount")
and if you want to count then application variable is fine but you have to use application_start event .

I have read about the QueryString, what is the full implementation of this, If I need to pass values to the same .aspx ..
What about creating contents page of the master page ...

hii mike,
i am developing a project in vb.net. one of the module which i need for this project is alredy developed by another one in c#. my project manager asked me to use that. so i am using it. I added this that c# module into my project as another project. while i am running from my machin there is no problem. when i put it on server, it is prompting for username and password to logon to that server.
how to do this ??
i dono have much time also.. pls. give me some solution for the scenario..
or tell me is there any standard approch to do it??
