yeah that will work alright but i've been asked to check the bitmap file header size.

search the net what the header contains exactly. Then read in the file binary. Check if the header is the same.

I know it should start with BM ... (see a bmp in a hex editor)

I have Windows 2003 Server, and I want to stream live content.
I'd also like to record the stream on the server, for later playback.As far as I know, I shouldn't use the encoder to create the archive this enhances the processing load on the encoding computer . I'd learnt to configure media server with media server management console to record it on the server, but I don't know how to control my Windows Media server programmatically to create an archived copy.I could have archived the streamed content in the client from where encoding initiates , that would be big overhead as archived files is to be uploaded in the server ultimately .
I didn't find the answer in the online help. Any suggestions would be highly appreciable

Hi there!

i want to develop a keylogger with auto hide functionality in C#
please guide me how to implement winsocks.

2nd. I want this application to automatically download and execute through the web browser by java/vb script .... is this possible or not??

Oh... So you don't want to give the user any choice. It just installs itself. And I guess the winsocks is so the keylogger can report back to base.

how to make certain columns editable and certain ones not editable in
the dataGrid control,...

for example if the input dataset for the grid was filled using query
"select a1,a2 from table1 "
i wanna show both columns a1,a2 in grid but only wanna let a2 to be
changed from datagrid...

Hi all,

I would like to know what is the difference between those 2 methods: Int32.Parse() and Convert.ToInt32().

Also, in your opinion, which method shall we use to convert a string to an integer and why?

I would use Int32.TryParse as it deals with strings that are poorly formatted ( are not just numbers )

That works only in VS2005, not in VS2003.

You can also use TryParse on a double and set its options accordingly so that it parses only integers.

I always use Int32.Parse, because I can add also NumberStyles, for example if I want to parse a hexadecimal number.

The only difference when converting from a string is the way a null value is handled.

If you use Convert.ToInt32 on a string, it will return zero if the string is null, otherwise it will use Intr32.Parse to convert the string.

Is it possible <Without opening the file to display it to the users> to send a file directly to the printer to be printed as the user click on a print button instead of on the preview button? If it is would you know how to do so?

I think you can do it, but not using ASP.NET. Probably something like ActiveX could help you, don't ask me how, I don't know Smile | :)

Do some research on google.

I found something called the printDialog, it's part of the .NET toolbox. I haven't played with it yet but it sounds promissing.

I use this ...

this.printDocument1.PrintPage += new PrintPageEventHandler(this.printDocument1_PrintPage);<br />
this.printDocument1.Print();

this assumes you have a printDocument1 of type PrintDocument defined

you also need a printDocument1_PrintPage function that uses System.Drawing.Printing.PrintPageEventArgs.Graphics to draw an image to the printer.

This just prints when it is called. there is no dialog to accept or cancel.

Sound confusing at first, but search for these strings in the MSDN library and it will help.

Hope this is what you were looking for.

Use Ctrl+Left/Right to switch messages, Ctrl+Up/Down to switch threads, Ctrl+Shift+Left/Right to switch pages.
