Is there any way to hide an option item in a select box.

I don't think you can hide it, but you can disable it with the "disable" attribute, which greys it out and makes it unselectable. If you want it hidden, I think your only option is not adding it to the select.

for me, you can take it's attribute such as : "text"

Hi All,
I have one excel file which is well formated with Images and cell merging kind of things. I want to Put Details in that file which is feeded by users using ASP page.
for examle : Online_excel.xsl
Online_form.asp(customer interaction file) ----> ----> fill_online_excel.asp(this file fills data inexcel file and saves it--HOW ????????) -------> send_online_excel.asp(Send that excel file in mail -->
or I can combine last two files :: fil_online_excel.asp and send_online_excel.asp if possible but how to fil data in excel and save it

Anyone know a way to get a client's email address (provided they have configured it) using javascript of vbscript? I've visited sites that do this, so I know it is possible.
This is on an intranet, so the client will always be MSIE.

Me and some friends are opening up a new digital artist community and we have some pretty good ideas. But we have stumbled upon some little problems:
o we are going to charge through a company similar to paypal for subscriptions. is this actually a good idea? because - you know - such companies ask the payee to register before payment can be affected. will this impact sales?
o how can one affect payment from one user of the system to another? this will probably require some hardcore coding (which isn't a problem) but we'd like to know the overall concept of how it's done... obviously, if it is possible for you to tell us

Your payment company should be able to provide you with samples of how to code this (I believe paypal do).

PayPal is a good way for payment (IPN).

People can make payments through Paypal without registering. There should be a link at the bottom of the payments page.

I didn't know that.
The problem is that PayPal does not allow us to withdraw money from our account just because we live in Malta. It sucks, I know... but well.

Is there any way to resize the browserwindow? i have used window.open() with fullscreen=yes , i have a button of this form window,on click of that button i want to resize the browserwindow fullscreen to say to (200,200). Can anybody help me?????

i know but it resizes only normal browser window,but i m talking when i have use window.open() with Fullscreen=yes to open browser window then it will not work.How do i resize then backto any size say (200,200)?

AFAIK, Active X control requires client permission before being allowed to be installed. It is not automatic due to security issues.

as MAC address is the only thing I can find unique in the system which will help me tracking the client?

you could do it with an ActiveX... but I dont think that anyone would accept it...
unless you are talking about an Intranet where clients could install an ActiveX

I know this is too late to reply.. but I got solution for this..
using of Hta (Hypertext Application) you can write asp code to grab the MAC address as it runs on client machine as Application.
