VB.NET doesn't come with a .NET chart control.
I recommend that you use the ZedGraph[^] chart control. It's feature rich, looks great, and it's free.

If you want a free chart component you can use OWC11 library (office web component library).
I have used this and its ok.

Hi, Has anyone else found it really annoying that a Texbox has a reserved height of 20 and a Combo Box has a reserved height of 21?
It means the two do not visually line up against each other. Hopefully I am being stupido and there is a way around this?

yes, but the textbox is only fixed to the font size, so if want change the font size in the textbox to 9pt and you should get a height of 21.

i have using VB.Net as Front-End and SQL Server 7
i have also using the application as a client/server technology, so i will take a database backup.
what way to take a backup database thru VB.NET. at the same time the backup will be stored only on the server. what will do?

I create a plot in VB and get data from memory, the curve will be shown as 2dLine. Now the problem is that there are more than 1000 data, and the labeling and ticks on X-axis looks so crowded that no one can read it. Is there any possible to show the labeling every 100 data, or set major labeling as 100 and only show it?

go to SQL Server. Generate the script of Database creation.
then use that script in vb.Net application . open the Connection with SQL server using Master Database. and run the database creation setup only. after running the creation command .. open the connection with Newly created DB and execute table,views,etc queries in it.

Open VS.NET and add some nodes using the designer.
Then open your code and you will se how nodes are added to the treeview.

I have a vb.net windows application that uses an xml feed from a website. I recieve an error message whenever I try to run the app at work because we are behind a proxy, how do I bypass it. I can do it easily in my asp.net application by adding code to the web.config but how do it for a windows application?

I would like to dynamically insert information into an existing text document. The goal is to create a fax cover page template (in Word?) and replace certain keywords such as the recipient, subject, fax #, and message with information from a database. I would imaging I could use something like Crystal reports (although I do not have any experience with this product). Does anyone have any other ideas or can you point me to areas that I can research to accomplish this goal.
