Why do you need to place a datatable in a resource file?

that is my requirement.I need to add to the resource file and from resoucr file I need to grab it in the code behind and display on the brwoser.

Here is my code.....

Now when I try to change the 'URL="Banner.swf"' to 'URL="Banner2.swf"' during runtime using the 'Flash1.Attributes("URL") = "Banner2.swf"' code.....the webform goes starts up as normal, but the Flash Movie doesn't load, and the little status counter thing at the bottom starts as if the page is loading up, but nothing ever happens. It just hangs.
Does anyone know why this is?

Hi,
Can anyone help / tell me how to compare two DateTimes and get the result as the difference in minutes please.
Ive tried using TimeSpan but this doesnt appear to return anything i can convert into minutes.

I was able to do the same sorta think with the code you have there, but I was trying to get the physical control to shrink down as well. Appears you are stuck with the whole hieght and width for a months view.

I think it does shrink down, as long as you don't specify the width and height for the table cells. The example I gave you, as is, does this.

Well thanks for the tip. I did try no width and height specification and that did not work. It seems the calendar control does have a default fixed width and height.

I am using a font only available on my machine.
But I need it downloaded to the client automatically when the page is viewed.
Does any1 have a link to a page with the code?

The CSS2 specification includes the @font-face directive, which can be used to specify a URL for downloading a font. Take a look here for the description and an example:

I'm not sure what the browser support is, but it's a place to start.

I originally posted this question on the work/job issues board a few weeks ago but that board doesn't seem to get much activity so I'm reposting it here. I'd greatly appreciate your input:
I've been working as a web developer for 2 1/2 years now. It's my first programming job since graduating school and while I was waaaaaay underpaid, it's been great professional experience for me. The time has come however, for me to begin looking for better opportunities (i.e. a higher salary) and I was just wondering what you guys feel is the best set of advanced skills I should be learning before sending out my resume.
Some have said to get into VOIP. Others have said to take some classes dedicated on security programming. I've been given about a half dozen different recomendations so I was just hoping you guys could help me narrow it down to one or two skills that have the brightest future ahead.
My current specialty is .NET programming (both vb.net & c#) but I also know Java & C/C++ pretty well also (plus of course the obvious ones such as ASP, JSP, Javascript, etc). I also work with Sql Server.
Any advice you can give me on this would be greatly appreciated.

I think having .NET skills and Java skills covers a lot of bases. Add some real experience with web application development (including client-side scripting) and solid experience with relational database design/development and you're in very good shape.
What do you enjoy doing? Do you like database programming? web programming? building desktop applications? lower level programming for, say, device drivers? does a particular business appeal to you, such that marrying your technical skills to specific business processes is appealing?
I'm not surprised that you would get so many different suggestions for what skills would "have the brightest future ahead". What you enjoy doing is what would give you the brightest future.

I want to pass the value of the selected item in a dropdownlist to a label. The dropdownlist is inside a FormView and
the label is outside in the main form. I'm trying to do this by implementing an event handler for the event
OnSelectedIndexChanged.
I cannot get it to work as I get an error:
Object reference not set to an instance of an object w.r.t code: Label1.Text = myDDL.SelectedItem.Value.ToString();

Here's the event handler (c#)

My FindControl clearly isn't doing what I think it should.
I can get this to work if the dropdownlist is not inside a FormView where there is no need to use FindControl.
E.g.

Label1.Text = DropDownList1.SelectedItem.Value.ToString();
}
But unfortunately I NEED to have the dropdownlist inside a FormView.
