After some experiences I found out that I'll not succeed a job unless I love it!
It's very strange to me that programmers move to a language mostly because of the future of the industry without considering their fun! 
I can't do that! That's why I finally selected C++/CLI over C# in .net world!!!!

Well... it wasn't listed, but isn't it a concern for people with existing applications and libraries? We encounter that all the time, and it is perhaps the single largest reason for not switching... The proposed answers are great for clean and new environments and/or projects. But what about legacy code?

Agreed!
I keep being told that MFC is legacy and C++ should be ditched in favour of C# and .NET is best for everything including making the toast. But with a series of applications on the market and 15 years worth of legacy to maintain........
Also I have noticed that our oldest and most reliable systems are all written in C/C++ - Some of the core source is in use on Windows/Unix and now Linux and ports very nicely between the various compilers that have been released over the years. This is in contrast to the many VB applications that have gone by the wayside.
Assuming that the something entirely different in the question is say .NET - Would I want to trade my situation for something that is so new that there is no track record? - That would be betting a lot.

And it would have to be sufficiently better to spend time transitioning (is that a word?). Obviously "better" is not very definitive... but if product A was recommended over product B by other programmers I would probably look into it.

Many different reasons. Manly because I'm doing mobile development and Java is the only language for that.
MFC is now legacy, but I still like c++.

It should be delete sex not free(sex)
and if you are lucky it should be delete [] sex;
You should always clean up after yourself when you've finished with sex.
Don't leave it for the garbage collector to do while you are at work. (Even if he does make your wife happy)
