Hi,

i need to work with an unmanaged dll and in each function i want to use i have a struct as parameter. The layout of this struct is given in a c header file, but i'm not sure how to get this working in c# Frown | :(

Here is apart of the struct:

Question 1:
this struct inside my struct is rededined by me in a class with the same way. I'm not sure if this i right:

public _stEgData *pstEgData;<br />

Question 2:
there is no wide character in c#. can i use a char?

Question 3:
how i have to work with this void* ? How do i manage this in my class ?
could it be in this way:

public void *pvEgVideoBufferAddress;<br />

Hi,

you have to install the Microsoft DirectX 9.0c SDK (the newest SDK is from october 2005: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=1C8DC451-2DBE-4ECC-8C57-C52EEA50C20A&displaylang=en)

and Managed DirectX. Also, you have to put a reference to the dlls in your VS oder #d-project.

changing image format

Hi there I've encountered a small problemo......
I'm trying to change brightness of an image...so far so good.

However I managed to make it work on 24-bit format images. When the filter is fed with an image which is either 8bit indexed or 32-bit formats...it fails!

...is there any way to access 8-bit indexed images with C# pointers!

I was observing this message board and found out the following code:

Hello

Yes, you can use the above code to convert your image to 24bpp or 32bpp format (as you already know, Image.Clone does not produce this functionality, as it was expected). With 24bpp image you can use most of image processing filters.

Yes, there is. Use LockBits. But, you will get troubles if you have color indexed image (like GIF). As you can see from my first article, I am using 24bpp format for color images, 8bpp indexed for grayscale images. Both formats I am processing using LockBits. Hi all,

I’m developing a client/ multi-threaded server and I’m a little bit concerns about the following:

Although at the server program (in which I run a service that runs this program at the background) I’m releasing unnecessary resources once I finished from them, I found that as clients joins the application, the Task Manger indicate an incensement at the memory assigned to the server application. Any idea of how I could minimize these Memory consumption

guys,

Can someone give me an Idea or link on how to handle a header / detail in my web application..

Scenario: Once the user completed the header information (textboxes) he will fill up the detail it can be many and at the same time the detail screen is on another page. After filling up the first ROW I will press the ADD button to create a header/detail record but in this case I dont want to save it directly to my SQL server until all the details has been done. Then, I press the SUBMIT button.

Can I do it in session variable or should I save it first to XML file then upon pressing the submit button I will save it to database.

Does anybody have noticed a peculiar behaviour in VS.2005 beta 2 considering visual inheritence ?
I can't figure out if it's some buggy situation or it's a fault of mine.

I create an inherited form inheriting from another form, based in an external dll.All dependencies are already loaded in the final solution.After completing the wizard i get some curious messages in random order.

1."Cannot unload assembly 'final solution'.exe because its not a valid .NET framework assembly" ????????
2.It spits out an error about version confict between the external DLLs.
3.VS is closing immediately without saving anything and without making a dump.

I would appreciate a comment of someone met such behaviour because i feel if it's a bug i'm losing my time.

Hi,

VS2005 is still BETA. I also have some craches while working with the VS2005. In my opinion MS should release a BETA3 insted of the final, because the IDE is still instable. I don't have access to the RC, so I can't say, if the IDE of the RC is more stable.

Hi All

I wrote 2 application that talk one with the other [like com in C++].
The Application1 send string [like BSTR] to Application2 ->this string is in XML format.
I don't understand how Application2 will convert the string to be as XML format.

Can someone help me?

You mean how to read and parse the XML? Does XmlDocument.LoadXML[^] help?

I know this is not true but i need immediate answer

I have Vs.net beta 2 copy, it s not original, I know, if the dvd is original, product key will automaticaly comes while setup progressing.

I have to install vs.net 2005 today immediately. please someone gives me his /her beta 2 product key . if not i wont complete my homework till monday. I think it s legal to share vs.2005 product key, BECAUSE it s Beta Please HELPPP

I can agree with "XeoN-Kc". But the DVD-Box is sheep (only 10€), that everyone can pay this to have the BETA2.

Don't pirate software, even if it's just a beta (and even if it's from Microsoft Wink | ;)

).
You could use a free IDE (e.g. SharpDevelop[^]) as alternative.

Hi,
I have implemented an API for executing WebDav Methods using "MSXML2.XMLHTTP30".
the code is working fine when i tested it over the IIS on my local machine.

but, when i try to execute the "PROPFIND"(WebDav)method, the server is returning a "NOT FOUND,404" error, even though the resource exists.

Im also facing an issue while using the "GET" method to retrieve method from a binary file like wrod document, as the XMLHTTP objec tis returning the bits using a "string" property.

please help me on these two points.

Hi Everybody,

We can convert our image's format to ten (.Bmp .Emf .Exif .Gif .Icon .Jpeg .MemoryBmp .Png .Tiff .Wmf) different image formats using System.Drawing.Imaging in C#.

But, i also want to convert my image to other image fotmats as TGA,SVG etc. in C# too. Cry | :((

So how can i do this?

Is there any method or advice for me? Confused | :confused:

I am having a TextBox in a webform,i have set the EnableViewState property of the TextBox as false.but also the TextBox retains it value.I can't predict what is the thing happening there...could anyone guide me ?

In a TextBox, I am giving some string 'for example color' and in database table, i am having a value as 'colour',if i use like or = property it will not return true...i.e color and colour are not same...i just want to search two string with same pronouncation...how i can do this.

ya u can do that.

first u ger the color field from database.
and fill the dataadapter ..
then add to dataset.

now take another string.

suppose.str
now ..
str=Convert.ToString(ds.Tables["tablename"].Rows[0]["colrfield"].ToString());

suppose ur entered text value is str1

then compare str=str1
ok.
