NewsStatic site for articles and documentation Pin

Lately, I have been away from all the article writing communities, and trust me, I have hated every day of it. I am trying to get back into the world, again.

Currently, I am planning on using a static-site generator to build the entire website and perhaps use a version control system to host my content. GitLab seems to be a good candidate for me, although I have been using GitHub for some time, I love the issue trackers and CI features of GitLab. I will try giving GitHub Actions a try sooner too.

My plan is using Hugo — speed and performance of Go — and build a basic static-site for myself. The main purpose of the site would be to help me move away from the WordPress based website I used.
  1. Tips and tricks
  2. Articles for new technologies
  3. Code samples
  4. My apps and new courses/books
Most of the experience that I have while working with the static-site generator will also be shared. I am currently planning on choosing a good platform for static site hosting. Azure Storage seems a valid candidate, with Alibaba Cloud OSS and Google Cloud Storage as good candidates. I need to take the credits supply into account, being Alibaba Cloud MVP I can get a full year worth of credit supply easily.

I will keep you guys posted on how the process goes and how I get the website published. I will also try and share the housekeeping part of the project to better explain the experience.
