Awesome! So got adjusted with the new environment, made new friends?
RaviSant wrote: Where do you work, on which technology?
My story so far :
I am fresh out of college, with some 10 months of experience, working as a VSTO(Visual Studio Tools for Office) developer. So the technology is .NET here.
Couldn't get into biggies. Infosys took 119 students from my college but I wasn't among them. Birlasoft took some 50-60 but I wasn't among them! (Damn what's wrong with me! )
I am currently not satisfied with my job so I shall start finding a new job with .NET as technology.
Lets see where destiny is going to take me!

Yes, made few of new friends
VSTO, thats great. there must be lot of reflection out it, i guess.
Nothing wrong, sometimes its good you did not went initially into biggies. Some of friends got into campus and i did not got. After 5-6 years i see them as tester or support guy majority of them, and i am developer. You will get into Big companies Sooner or Later, just make yourself strong in technology you work and keep looking.
All the Best
Which city you are from?

Great have a good time there!
RaviSant wrote: VSTO, thats great. there must be lot of reflection out it, i guess.
I didn't get the reflection part. But basically VSTO is about programming Office applications like Word, Excel and PowerPoint, to automate things. I am not liking this stuff so that's why looking for a deviation from this and get into the actual programming world. That's why I keep learning, so I learned WPF(Its awesome!), XML, LINQ (currently learning XLINQ), learning ASP.NET to get myself ready.
RaviSant wrote: Nothing wrong, sometimes its good you did not went initially into biggies.
That's true. Like in the case of Infosys, many of my friends only got projects a month ago, they were in bench before that. In case of BirlaSoft many of them did not get good technology, like some HP tool, Web support etc. Glad I didn't get placed there.
Here I got .NET but its not enough, I need to be more professional.

Awesome good for you sir! It was a blessing in disguise.

Yes that's what I am hoping more, got to make myself strong in .NET.
It would be great if you could tell me the best companies which hire .NET developers so that I can target them and grow more professionally.

Hey, Delhi Dude, sir mat bolo.. bas dost is fine..
I am from Ulhasnagar near mumbai.. my room mate was from rohini (delhi).
There are many-many .Net companies. Some biggies, some Emerging. You can never target a company and learn. You have to keep trying and look for good work in start (0 to 3) years. There are thousands of companies in India. In Delhi-NCR, HCL is good pick. my room-mate worked there while lving in Delhi. Next is Wipro. In pune and banglore, its plenty.
One of my friend got into 'Vistex', a very small SAP company and stayed there, did good work. The company has grown high in last 4-5 years and he has best SAP knowledge in market and earns thrice what we do.
It is also matter of destiny. As said, you need to keep trying and keep looking.

Sure! Aah Mumbai awesome yaar. One must stay and get a feel of Mumbai.
Thank you so much for the insight. I shall try the companies you mentioned, my friends also told me that, south and pune is the place where actual development happens and one should work there. I will try in Accenture too. My friend told me that internally they have tie-up with Microsoft and there are lot of .NET projects. If I land up a job there, I will be kind of working for Microsoft and will get an ID too.

Wow that's great. SAP is a good technology.
Hmm opportunities are endless with so many companies.
Yep I shall keep trying for the best!
Thanks again!

Hey thanks for the quick reply. I will only go for .NET yaar, no idea about SAP. I can relocate to any city. City can be anywhere mostly the IT hubs like Bangalore, Pune, Mumbai, Chennai, NCR etc.
