Once one a Micrsoft seminar 'security' the first question to the audience was "who of you is using his birthday as unlock code on his mobile phone".
25% of the audience raised there hand.
The speaker replied:
we have a lot of work to do, as it is already unsafe to use your birthday as unlock code, but telling in public your are using it.....

I'm happy to play along with this story illusion. If you running a high end cutting edge operation. You don't hire the best. You don't hire a top 10% lock picker to pick a safe, no, you get top 0.1%. the kinda that makes no mistake.
The kind that built their own IDE that has 0% chance of crashing.
The ones that duplicate windows to remove all the bugs, but makes it look like windows still so any passer by wouldnt catch on that the OS is maxed out with all the best hacking software.

How about on Stranger Things (second season), Bob had to use BASIC to bring the power back online for the facility. Every key that he pressed produced a full line of code!

Loved the first season but the second one seemed to go off script and by the third it was a mess.

All I can say is, at least Continuum was better (subjectively, and by a very small margin) than Street Hawk or Mantis were. Those were real "lets see how badly we can use tech at the core of a TV series" bombs.

True story.
Saw Billy Gibbons, of ZZ top fame, playing with "Moving Sidewalk". They were opening for Jimi Hendrix Experience concert in Texas in 1968. Billy said he got some inside guitar hints from Jimi. BTW Jimi's experience blew out some of the big amplifiers during the concert and had to take a break until they could be replaced.
Concert guys said that it the first time they had ever seen that happen.

I have some figs on my fig tree now.
are there some ways to protect my figs from birds eating them before I do?
last year I put a big net to cover the tree because it bears lots of figs.

Do you have some old CD's lying around? Tie them to a pole; the wind makes it move and reflection of sunlight keep birds away.
It does scream "nerd home" and doesn't do insects.
Getting a decent sized cat also helps.

For some fancy fruit, they tie a paper bag around each one… but that might not work for smaller figs.
Another trick I have seen is to hang fake fruit on a tree before and while real fruit is on the tree. It trains the birds and squirrels that there is nothing good there.

What is the problem with the net? Isn't that the standard way of doing it?
We don't grow figs around here, but e.g. cherries, nets are the standard solution.

Hi All,
Logging into the Time Sheet system yesterday I got "NONCE Error Detected", well I don't like the system and have said rude words about it. I have now proof that is actively out to get me! I get the impression it was written by non native English speakers, I hope it N Once or Not Once which would make sense. (I still think it's out to get me)
