Well, first of all, it must've been months since I've posted black metal in the SOTW!
Second, calling me and my taste childish isn't exactly grown up of you* 
Third, I know Audrey Horne, listened to them in the past, but there's nothing about a 4/4 rhythm and singing about leaving town and some guitar riffs that just have less distortion that sounds grown up to me.
Their album cover is comical, even!
In fact, I'd argue calling them grown up would be an insult to them as their whole rock 'n roll mentality is about rebelling against the establishment!
Maybe you're just confusing grown up with boring, which would explain your entire post 
Enslaved though, now that's some exciting music (and hardly black metal anymore)!
Also liked Sahg's II very much (which is more like Audrey Horne, but without the boring)!
Their later albums didn't do it for me though.

Grownup is quite boring actually, there's no confusion about that. So maybe black metal has always been grownup.
Not all bands can be Nanowar of Steel. You can say whatever you want about them, but they're not very grownup.
So think of it more as a reflection on how much we change when growing older.

My laptop just died in a cloud of smoke (it went "pshiiittt" died and started to smell like burned electronic components).
I'm having an internal debate.
I already have my personal PC (gaming and video/photo stuff), I have my work PC, and I have my phone.
I use my laptop mostly for consuming content.
Do I need to replace it or can I live without a laptop for a while ?
Angel in my head: pay your debts before spending money on non essential things.
Devil in my head: Get the new laptop.
(Anyone with the M1 MacBook Air ? any thoughts ? )

All I have is a laptop, so you definitely need one!
When I had a job, my work computer was a laptop, which doubled as my personal computer. This avoided the pain of copying files. If I wanted to do personal stuff at work, or work stuff at home, easy peasy. This setup lasted from the earlier PowerBooks to Windows-based laptops 10 years later. When I joined a startup, I bought my own laptop, which doubled as my work computer.
My phone lives in the car, usually in airplane mode, and is only used for voice and SMS. Yeah, I know. I should legally add -saurus to my name.

This kind of happened to me awhile back. My sons laptop died. I had a butt kicker 2 in 1 travel laptop that I loved. I gave it to him because I didn't really 'need' it. I have a work 2 in 1 but I always before tried to keep work stuff on work stuff and personal stuff on personal stuff. With the work lappy now. I have an SD card (256gb) that I put all my personal stuff on. and the work stuff is well on the harddrive. It works for me. but I found a Samsung S7 Tablet and I freaking love that thing for consuming cat videos on the interwebs.
Funny thing is. I absolutely refused to ever go to bookedFace on the new tablet. I dont' want that virus infecting it. I will go there on my work lappy on occasion. But not on the tablet. It stays pristine. Also, I have RDP, and VPN setup on the tablet. I can actually do my full job from that tablet. Seriously. It is so nice.

A compromise:

an iAnythng and that alone may keep you within some budget (or would have kept your debts down, at least).
That being said, you can never have too many computers. If all else fails, getting something like a Raspberry Pi 4 and connecting it to your TV is exceptionally inexpensive.

I see MacBook and I run in the opposite direction ... but "Air" ... (smell without flaming punk) ... have you ever tried to replace burned out capacitors using a soldering iron and a few YouTube video tutorials?
Might save some money in the long run. Waste of time if you lack dexterity.
